Didn’t have queues before the free to play client hit Steam. Now I’m in a 1,700 queue. STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAM!
I’m pretty sure the anniversary event with the free lvl 50 ship contributed significantly :)
I logged in at 9 of 775. I think the activating that Collector’s Edition has given me priority login for at least 30 days. Woooooo.
mmmwhahahahh
I currently have 3 full sets of unused Aegis Gear (shield, engine, deflector) and the market is almost empty. The one set up for sale if you buy all 3 peices would cost around 15 million energy credits!
:O
Wow, nice. Is the crafting that obtuse then?
I think people just hate the new “unreplicable materials” bullshit. You have to buy mats you can’t get anywhere else for a load of dilithium. As far as I can tell at least. I didn’t see any on the market just on the vendor. So glad I crafted my own kit long before this crap was introduced.
Well I’ve been watching the market and the Particles that are also needed to craft are slowly disappearing. I grabbed enough of the ones to make 2 more full sets of Aegis gear, I’ll have 5 full sets by the end of next week once I get enough dilithium for unreplicable materials. Cryptic pretty much gives gold/lifers 120k of dilithium a month, if you trade in c-store points for it.
So crafting is being done, as Memory Alpha is packed as of late.
I’ve pretty much decided to corner the market for Methogenic Particle’s , I bought just about all I could afford off the market at reasonable prices (Maybe 1 million EC’s worth). A little over 3000 units in all. I think there is around 500 or so units left but at way over the top prices. 1 unit is not worth 45k credits, LULZ.
They allow me to craft the highly in demand Blue [Phaser Beam Array Mk VIII [Acc] [Dmg]], and BLUE [Quantum Torpedo Launcher Mk VIII [Acc] [Dmg]], I’ll make around 20-30k profit off each item I craft.
I think you get a second on F2P when you unlock Klingons (which is… level 10? I can’t remember).
I’m on F2P but I have 4 slots! Either I’m just awesome or it’s somehow confusingly tied in to having paid for 400+ days back in the day. I have 2 Feds, 1 Klingon and a slot I’m not even using, just because I can…
(Also - I did not play for at least half of my 400+ days paid. Slack people like me, who keep forgetting to cancel MMO accounts, are what keep games up and running. We are idiots, heh.)
hrmm. i need 2500 diplomatic exp to unlock the Diplomatic Investigation type missions, and the newb diplomatic missions only give 10 exp. seriously? lol.
You can also do diplomatic Duty Officer missions now. Wish I had that option back in the day.
Keep those diplomatic Duty Officer assignments rolling…that shit adds up.
How do the recruitment Duty missions work? I apparently never have anyone listed to take them on even if they have no prerequisites.
The recruitment missions confused me for a bit too, but turns out there’s a trick. Apparently unlike any other duty officer missions, you don’t have to assign anyone to them. Just start the mission and you begin recruitment. You can really bump up your officer roster if you head back to Starfleet every day to do another one.
Starfleet Academy?
I was not aware of that, I know there was tool tip that mentioned something about it, but it wasn’t very clear.

Yeah, hit academy and Earth spacedock. They both can have recruitment missions.
Yeah Squee’s right, I wasn’t clear. You can do it either location.
I was surprised to see the Breen episodes now require level 48 or so. I was quite looking forward to starting that off with my level 13 guy yesterday but had to settle for the second episode thingy that starts with Skirmish (which I’ve not played, so that’s probably a better choice anyway).
Has there been any confirmation of when they might do more of those, or are they dead for the moment? I did the first one as it released and it was good stuff. I can imagine it’s a pretty expensive endeavour for a less successful MMO to keep going, though.
Man, playing on advance means you overlevel the missions by a ton. I wonder is it even worth it to keep going (maybe that’s why there’s a skip option?) or to just do the daily stuff and level from that.
On a side note, exploration missions are incredibly boring.
Oh I totally didn’t spot that the 2800 thingy was episode 4. In fact, since watching the trailer, I’d completely forgotten it existed. Oops.
Ohhh, and it (in theory) starts this saturday.
