I really do like the crafting that they have come up with. But only 3? Blah. I am gonna have to make some tough choices and some alts it seems.

The ideas behind the mission skills sound really interesting and such a nice change from the standard gather or make things skills.

And after reading that post, it does sound like they want make crafting viable- After maxing out a few toons in WoW…and got my cool engineering tools, I really lost interest in gathering and selling mats or…making bags!!

I’d have thought QT3 would recognize Grey DeLisle as BG2’s Nalia d’Arnise and not just another famous non-Bioware voice actress… :D

She also did voices in ME and KotOR…

Not all of us are lucky enough to play with the sound on. Are you really going to sit through the same cutscene over and over? I can understand the first time it’s new but after the game has been out a month and you’ve seen them all…

Oh, thats true - if you can’t play with the sound on, I guess it brings nothing to the game. As for the same cutscene, sure, I understand that. Your post merely suggested that the voice-overs and cinematics were a waste of time, which is what I reacted to.

Playing with the sound off is kind of tragic - headset isn’t practical? I haven’t used speakers in years.

As for skipping dialogue/sequences after seeing them - depends on how good they are. Same as replaying any Bioware game really.

I’ve played through ME1 five times and always sit through the cut scenes. I probably wouldn’t if I had to play with the sound off though. But you’ve got to be in a real small minority of users. I’d be surprised if less than 95% of users played with sound, and I’d guess the number is even higher.

My wife is very sick, has been for years, and I can’t risk not being able to hear her call for help.

Ah, sorry to hear.

You say this as though cut scenes repeat frequently…The only repeat cut scenes I know of are the ones with your ship landing/taking off. I would turn on subtitles and read the story before opting to just skip them, but for me the story is the reason I am playing this game.

Early access extended by 2 days (starts on the 13th).

Eeeexxxcceeeeleeeent!

I’m very happy about this!

Mm, my new PC stuff is only arriving on the 13th at the earliest ><

I made sure I had the 13th and 14th clear to build the PC…

If you built computers before you should have it done(with W7 install) in 2 hours or so

Oh god no. It’ll take a minimum of a day to pare down Windows 7 to tolerable levels of suck, probably more.

This is more of me going “but even good things can go wrong” :P

You have 5 days to make your custom install script…plenty of time…

I’m not side-loading a disk, no, my old DVD-RW is dead and one of the things I’m getting is a replacement. (I’d like to, yes, but ><)

I already have a list of changes and programs I need to run lined up.
Getting things optimal for a SSD take a while, for instance…

It looks like there might be a grace period after launch, even though the FAQ says otherwise.

Does the game not come with 30days gametime? Why would they ask to provide gametime code/subscription

Will there be some servers opening up after the 20 th it will feel wierd starting the game at launch with a bunch of max level characters around.

So that people don’t cancel their pre-order and keep playing. The game activation code apparently is not tied to the pre-order activation code.
