So you can’t be a wookie right? Because I was kind of interested in playing as a wookie.
Not sixty bucks plus a sub interested, but wookies are fucking hilarious and being able to RP a character that runs around going HURRRRR is amazingly funny to me.
No and no. My guess is that playable Wookiees will come in an expansion which includes Kashyyyk. If they don’t, I will be annoyed.
Seems to me like the trick to a successful naming policy is to have name changes be almost a first resort, with the ticket burden/manpower bottleneck being the changing-names-back part.
Unfortunately, only Sith Warriors will get the “Darth” title. Inquisitors get “Lord”. May I suggest “Eedordy”?

I call dib on naming my sith sorcerer “Electrician”, or Lord Electrician!!!

I think they made it available to both classes with a patch on Dec 1. Originally it was only available on Inquisitors, which was dumb.
(unless there was another patch I missed that got rid of it for Inquisitors)
Wasn’t the official star wars joke name: Darth McOwnage?
I was going to write something here, but then I used google images.

Darth Hater has a lengthy video discussion up on end game content and PvP. I haven’t watched it, so I can’t vouch for it’s quality, but generally Darth Hater seems to do a good job providing solid information.
Looks like the guild server announcements will be coming on Monday.
I think that many gamers choose the dark side only in order to get the prefix Darth. =)
I’m still hoping I get to group up with Ham Salad and Augie Ben Doggie. I’d mention Fluke Starbucker, but he’s probably too whiny to tolerate.
Arty-Deco ftw.
I have a qustion for the Beta veterans, hopefully you can shed some insight.
In the stresstest weekend I played an Imperial agent up to the point where I got my own starship. While leveling I felt that the cover mechanic became a bit tedious (even though the rolls into cover look spiffy) and once I choose the Operative path I barely used it as most of my skills did not require me to be in cover. I only popped in cover to fire off an explosive drone, but that is about it. Did I miss something here or does the operative and it´s smuggler equivalent simply not use cover as much?
The Operative is much less cover-oriented than the Sniper. You were not doing it wrong, in my opinion.

The official forums are going to be down until the 13th.
Are there any other fan site SWTOR forums with a robust active community?

Once in a blue moon I’d use the cover mechanic for the cover-only explosive ability as a scoundrel. But yeah, it’s barely ever used as Op/Sco
Neogaf and Penny Arcade both have active SWTOR threads, although these sometimes veer into stupidity. Although if you were tolerating the zany kids at the official forums you’re presumably ready for anything in that respect.
Yeah. You could also try the forum at mmo-champion, which my phone wanted to correct to mom-champion. That’s probably the best thing about that forum, actually.

Has anybody had any success getting the game client to pre-load? I’ve been able to download the Setup.exe but won’t finish extracting… it gets almost all the way through the extracting progress bar and then just vanishes, leaving no trace of itself that I can see in task manager.

There’s also SomethingAwful’s MMO forums for TOR talk.
How you think, Star Wars: The Old Republic can to attract the fans of WoW (not taking into account the fans of Star Wars, who play in WoW at now)?
