The CE so you get a KeyFob tied to an EA Account, but it doesn’t actually work for anything else on your EA account :)

No …you are not on the first day.
That email is a standard “the servers go live” email everyone got
there is a separate email that only comes out today after 7am (or later) telling you that you are now live

Not a given time, just hey bud log in.
Sorry to burst your glee.

That’s the full Collector’s Edition though, not the Digital Deluxe Edition. The items in the Digital Deluxe Edition are:

[ul]
[li] Flare Gun
[/li][li] Training Droid
[/li][li] HoloDancer
[/li][li] HoloCam
[/li][li] Single Trooper Aerial Platform
[/li][/ul]

I didn’t list the CE, since it appears to be sold out everywhere. So I’m considering the SE or DDE.

Yup. I saw that on the website. Just wondering which one Qt3ers were getting and if they feel the DDE items will be worth the additional $20.

Since no email has gone out yet I think you have misread your pre-load email.

The Aerial Platform is an actual speeder, I believe, one of the speeders you can purchase at level 25. You can’t use it until then, as you can’t get the training before 25. In-game that would cost 8k credits, which sounds like a lot, until you realize the training costs 40k. So it’s like completing two to four quests at that level I would think.

The other items seem like fluff. I believe the Training Droid is a non-combat pet, though it doesn’t say that. Everyone gets a non-combat pet, so you’d have two. One of the Empire classes gets a little droid named L2-P2. I was amused.

The HoloDancer is probably a version of what’s in the cantinas. The flare gun is … heck, I dunno, a flare gun. The HoloCam sounds interesting but is probably just some sort of animation of you recording stuff - if it really was some way of recording movies in-game that would be cool.

So the bottom line is, you’re paying $20 for a virtual speeder that you can easily earn in-game, and for some other fluff items that you might pull out now and then. Is that worth $20? To some people it may be. I ordered the Standard Edition because none of that seemed that interesting to me.

Your thoughts are similar to mine, and I was curious how difficult it would be to acquire the Aerial Platform in the SE. Thanks for the info!

I think Origin just charged me £5 and the rest was refunded until release, although i dont have access to my online banking to confirm

Amazon Germany just emailed me that my CE is on it´s way. YAY!

Well, I think this is an area where it really depends on how much spare cash you have to spend on frivolities. I bought the DDE, but I’m a bit embarrassed about it, as if you look at the items, I really don’t see $20 worth of value.

I thought the HoloCam might be cool, but from what I’ve heard, I’m no longer all together sure what the difference between it and hitting the screenshot key is. I thought it might do movies, but it doesn’t. I suppose it’s still possible it might do 3d screenshots, which would be very cool. But I really don’t know.

Damnit your right!

7:01 and no email… BioWare sucks!

Oh yeah, I didn’t pre-order and register my code until October, so I just hope to get in before the weekend.

Nothing here either and I ordered it the day it was first available.

I registered early and am accordingly trying to login though sheer force of will in the absence of an email.

With my fricking 17-character password.

EDIT: Hm, at some point the launcher began accepting pasted-in passwords. That’s something.

I preordered the day it was available… then didn’t apply my code for a month out of sheer laziness. I am so smrt.

I ordered within 4-hours of the pre-order announcement. No e-mail :-(

FWIW Bioware promised they would tweet after they sent out the first round of e-mails, and there’s nothing on their twitter feed.

its because Bioware hates people who doesn’t write out their words…

Btw guys (ha ;-) ) , according to swtor twitter, they havent sent out any mails yet, so there is still hope.

You can of course, always try to login and see if you are lucky :-)

No email yet but I’m in.
