When you get the email there is a code or something you have to put in to be able to sign up for a recurring subscription? You can’t do that ahead of time?

If you didn’t get an email at 7AM that doesn’t mean you’re not in today. It’s a rolling thing and they’ll be adding people throughout the day so keep checking :)

I’m in on the early access and very happy about it. When I redeemed my code back in July my account verified that it was for the Collector’s Edition. Subsequent checks confirmed that I had redeemed a CE code. My understanding is that the CE comes with quite a few digital items, but the only thing that I got in the beta and the only thing listed under my account is the yellow-black lightsaber crystal. Should I have all my other CE stuff or do I have to wait until the physical box arrives?

No there’s nothing in the email. It sends you to http://www.swtor.com/early-access. If your account is flagged to receive an email, that is all that’s needed for the launcher to let you in.

If you look at your account at swtor.com, they have all the buttons there to enter your product key on the 20th. Then I believe you will enter your subscription info.

I preordered day one from amazon and immediately applied the code that day, just in case anyone was interested. Now I get to watch the clock melt slowly at work.

Pre-order (any edition) = crystal. CE = stuff later

Everyone who has pre-ordered Star Wars: The Old Republic and redeemed their Pre-Order Code on our Code Redemption Center will be able to access and use their Pre-Order Color Stone during Early Game Access. To get your Color Stone, visit a mailbox in-game and pick up your in-game mail. Digital items associated with the Digital Deluxe Edition and Collector’s Edition will be available once you have redeemed your official Game Product Registration Code, and will be sent to you via in-game mail.

I just logged in at 6:00 AM CST before I received any email. So if you know when the waves are starting, just try logging in because your account just needs to be flagged (email doesn’t really matter).
