This came up a while back, but EA is now offering security keys (authenticators) for pre-order for $4 + shipping now. Looks like they ship on the 15th.

I wonder if someone tracks “times email refreshed”.

I managed to get on before Grandmaster Rasputin of the Tatooine Royal Navy was on. Right after the initial cutscene, I got a dialog box saying that the Guild hadn’t been created, but that I could go ahead and create it and join it. It said that auto-join was only available for the first character that I created that joined the Guild (I think the implication was that this dialog box was the auto-join dialog and that subsequent characters I created would need to get an official Guild invite from a Guild officer).

So you should be able to activate it before Jason gets on.

Good lord, this board is lagging like crazy this morning

How crowded are the starting areas? Post some screens!

Not at all. My starting zone had 60 people in it, and all the servers reported a “light” load.

So, for people who were in the Beta…

Have those of you that grew tired of MMORPG lore and flavor text been able to immerse yourselves more fully in SWTOR. I have a problem with immersion because I feel like I am wasting my limited time when I could be fighting. I realize SWTOR is wildly different in this aspect so I hope to be better drawn in.

It really boils down to how immersed you feel when playing a Bioware RPG. If you do, then yes. If you find that tedious, stay away.

I should be good to go then. Making a dedicated effort and all that, too, will help. Supposed to be taking a few, rare extra days off on the 21st and 22nd. My family is foolishly thinking that I am going to spend extra time with them.

Two things: The site claims the Training Droid will “assist you in combat” so I’m pretty sure it’s a combat pet, and the Companions everyone gets are also combat pets.
