What Bioware really needs right now is more forum / site bandwidth and about 1000 more forum moderators. What a mess.

People are reading the forums? That’s never a good idea.

Forums seem to be a bad idea in general. :)

Forums are the path to the dark side. Forums lead to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to… suffering.

That’s what I’m doing too. Usually I go with armor smithing, but that requires Underworld Trading and my current Jedi is too goody two shoes for that kind of a skill!

Since you are a mile ahead…maybe I should do that. :) Treasure hunting just sounds funerer.

Second wave for today is out.

Not reading official forums and turning off trade chat. Aren’t those 2 things automatic after you start a new MMO? heh.

Hour 15 wait for the server last nite- I did notice that ALL of the West coast servers were either full or Heavy…so while Harbinger was more than most, it seems more of a west coast server issue?

Anyway finally got it, and in 2 1/2 hours got my Smuggler up to level 6. Did every side mission there was. Cover is a lot of fun. A nice mechanic that actually makes sense. Of course if someone is shooting at you, you need to find cover.

That said, the thermite grenades are WAY over powered. So much so they seem silly. I could drop one in a crowd of 5 guys and kill them all with one shot. It’s great for XP but I feel a nerf coming soon. I cannot wait to try them in PvP.

I love the story mode they put in. I never got past level 4 on any toon in the beta so most of this is now new. The game looks great, not a speck of lag (which makes me wonder about the true population of the server), graphics are nice, and the voice acting/story phasing is a nice change. All on rails so far but that will change soon- for now I am really liking the MMO changes they have made.

Oh and wtf, every drop or reward is heavy armor. BAH! I need medium armor. It is an MMO after all it seems.

Chinese water torture.

If the usual SW tropes don’t automatically take you back to childhood happiness, definitely try the Imperial Agent.

Okay, why did I just get an email saying ‘Your order has been cancelled because we didn’t get payment in the last three days’ from Origin. I don’t understand. Wait. I think I see. I originally was going to order the regular edition, then changed my mind and ordered the digital deluxe edition.

Credit card issues?

Hey guys. I’m in. They are up to at least December 11th now. I’ll see you in game tonight after a long wait, I’m sure.

No I had done everything but hit the final accept on the original edition before changing my mind. I suspect it was held in a shopping cart somewhere.

I’m hoping to be in soon. I’ve been sent my full keycode and have set up a subscription, but logging into the patcher still says I don’t have a sub. (Dec 13th pre-order.)

Exactly. You wouldn’t want login servers to be able to handle a large number of paying subscribers in the future. /sarcasm

Says someone who has never had to deal with this type of shit before. Some of you folks are just being plain ol’ petty.

Asking for TOR servers to be able to support launch-day numbers with no queues is like asking the telephone company to build out against anticipated network usage after a natural disaster. It’s impossible and stupid. You plan against your anticipated needs and build out as elegant a solution you can for overload. That’s what queues are about.

And complaining about queues for a game that hasn’t even launched yet is even dumber.

Right, because there will be fewer people playing once the game actually launches.

I’m glad to see you know me intimately and what I do for a living running a system that has hundreds of thousands accessing it constantly.

While I agree and don’t blame them, I get a little irritated at the 1 hour mark after a random disconnect.

I can’t reconcile complaining about queues being stupid. Have you had that problem yourself in this launch?
