A restart didn’t work strangely enough. I’m not sure what was causin the issue. Launcher.exe would show up in the task manager processes tab but nothing would happen.
Sure PeerBlock or similar isn’t blocking the connection?

ZOMG now stuck in what the hell character do I want to commit myself to mode :(
Also thinking of rolling republic because it appears sith are outnumbering the republic greatly. I love me some fast Q times.
I had the latest video drivers, but somehow forgot to reboot after the very long install. After the reboot it came up fine.
Loving this game! I’ve tried 4 classes so far and my favorite this far is Rebel Trooper. Love it!
That won’t help your queue times. Your PVP arena queue times, maybe.

PvP is what I am talking about
Maybe i’m the only one that missed this, but you can queue up crafting items. A companion who is crafting does not have their name disabled in the list for future crafting, so you can just queue up a number of orders.
You can’t queue up gather missions though sadly.
This doesn’t seem that useful until max level though as i mostly make something, reverse engineer it to see if i get a recipe and repeat until i do.
If the big bad guy at the end of the Jedi Consular story isn’t Rick James I’m gonna be pretty disappointed.
Consider the possibility that the server caps have been artificially lowered prior to launch in order to even out the total number of players across the large number of servers.

Do companion light side/dark side levels change? I notice they’ve got meters same as player characters, but I’ve ever seen them move.

In KOTOR yes, no idea in SWEATOR.
It’s is possible you ARE the only one who missed this! (insert smiley face). FYI, as I’m sure you’ve discovered, you can queue up to 5 crafting assignments.
I queue up stuff all the time: even if I’m just reverse engineering the item, you can quickly stop the processing if you get a good recipe (if you’re hanging around while crafting, which is how I do it).
No they do not. Which means they can never use gear with Light/Dark requirements on it.

There’s still a few things missing. For instance, apparently the Legacy system isn’t implemented yet.
Considering the game is brand new though, I really dig it, and find it a very good system so far.

So Friday, I just never logged off and put in 10 hours with my wife rolling her eyes at me and then watching the Happy Elf with the kids. During the show, I got up and moved my toon every 10-15 minutes. Yesterday I just stayed on and put 10 hours in before going to a Christmas party at 6pm.
I just don’t game this much until an MMORPG comes out. Then I drown myself in it. So far, the wife has allowed this. I am going to assume it is because I bring home enough bacon and she thinks I deserve a break. I am afraid to ask. I am 1,000% sure she does not know how long I have played. ;)
I went ahead with the Jedi Knight Sentinel. I would like to have been a little different, but the allure of poking things with not one, but two lightsabers was too hard to pass up. Level 14 currently. I have Artifice high enough that I have crafted level 15 items I cannot use yet. Pretty pleased with crafting. I like that you can send your companion off to do all sorts of fun stuff including the crafting. Furthermore, it is nice to be able to mine nodes out “in the field” and also send your companion on little quests to get them. A couple areas I did send my drid out and proceeded to get killed. So I have not been sending him away as much until I get into a period of turning in quests.
Skill trees still scare me. So everhwelming. Dumping everything into increased damage and crit skills so far. I’ll search out a recommended build eventually. Also, no idea what my rotation is supposed to be, but I think I have muddled along OK. I only have trouble soloing an elite boss now and then. And by “Elite” I mean the ones that are of a higher grade, but appear to be intended to be soloable as they are in the general areas.
Much like everyone else, I would say it is Star Wars WoW with a heavy dose of Bioware storytelling thrown in. It does at times feel like a single player RPG placed online to get my monthly fee. I have not had a chance to run any instances yet and I need to get on that and that would help somewhat.
I am proud of myself. I have skipped no dialog and have read every single entry into my Codex. Some of the entries in say Dragon Age were so damn long I did not bother. This has not been the case with any other game. Not blown away by any of the story lines outside of the starting area, but I am enjoying them.
Next step, see what kind of staying power it has. Everyone likes going out with someone new because she is new, but after a few weeks, her flaws and similarities to other weirdos you decided to date can wear on you.
I’ve almost hit 25 and the game is still drawing me in. The stories are great. I’ve run quite a few instances with my guildmates and they have proven to be a lot of fun. I’ve been very impressed with the layouts of the many planets in the game. I was not expecting the playable area to be so large on each planet.
Agree on the above though. Will the game have staying power. With the many different unique classes it is looking good. Bioware has set a high bar though and of course will need to push out new content in a timely fashion.
One thing I have noticed with the current build is that it is suffering quite a few bugs. I’ve mainly noticed it in the UI and also combat graphics glitches. The guild list screen is horribly bugged and gear selection according to rank/use is not working. Apart from that and the massive queues the game is very solid and player friendly.

One other thing, I don’t have to zip from quest giver to quest locations and back, but some of those buildings and hallways and open areas you have to traverse in Coruscant are needlessly big and vacant of anything interesting.
My five year old was very interested by the writhing, barely-clad Cantina girl. I had to get out of there fast before she came up with any more questions as to why she was doing that. :)
Combat detection seems a bit buggy too.
Being a long time mmorpg player and a tank class, i tend to run through a lot of combat because i can take the damage without stopping, but a few times now i’ve found myself stuck in combat when nobody is attacking me or even near me. Trying to wait it out didn’t seem to do anything.
Luckily starting a new combat and finishing it seemed to clear it, but still annoying.
Man, this is starting to get insane:
3:46PM - CET Queue: 1969 ETA: 2h10m (Tomb of Freedoon Nad - Europe PVP)
I think I’ll have to buy a second computer so I can have one in the queue while I play something else on the other. As well as have liquid cooling and have it online 24/7 using some macro to keep me from being disconnected.
I hear horrible things from level 35+ gameplay though. Apparently Bioware used the DA2 designers in SWTOR, so there is a LOT of asset reuse… You’re sent back to the level 1-20 planets several times to do missions, so you’re just revisiting old locations over and over again.
Edit:
Some guildies are approaching 5 hour in login queue now… This is awesome. Great implementation BIO-EA.
Weird, are you on The Harbinger? I literally started the game just now and immediately logged into my character there.

Can someone point me to a solid guide on crafting? So far I know zero about it. I selected a skill and it told me I need foozles to make boots but I don’t have any foozles or a clue where to get them.
