Black Talon, for instance, the first Flashpoint you generally do on the Sith side, plays out two different ways depending on whether you go Light or Dark side on your conversation choices. It’s pretty cool.

Not trying to convince anyone that they are wrong, just trying to get the liars to fess up. Stand around a common quest npc and watch all the people suddenly jump after the conversation icon disappears above their head. I caught someone in a group over the weekend lying about loving the conversations and then zipping through them.
Personally I don’t get much enjoyment from watching the middle 10 minutes of a movie.

Re cutscenes.
Having just gotten my ship, I have to say I am already tired of the “let’s take slow trip into space” every time I go into my ship and “let’s take a slow trip back to the space port” when I go out my door. Seriously, can’t I just board my ship and stay put while I send my peeps out on missions? It really makes much more sense.

Oh, it’s also annoying that primary quest lines are not all in the same place for everyone so when we group up, we have to decide whose quest do we go do while everyone else tags along for virtually no reason since there is little challenge.
Dunno about you, but doing someone else’s primary story line after they’ve helped me do mine didn’t take more than five extra minutes. It really wasn’t that far off.
But you complain about what you have to complain about. I’m going to go back and have fun with my friends in the game.
Yeah they didn’t already do that content once (or twice) in beta or on other characters they’re LYING LIARS who’re LYING.

My first op was with a group of nice people, one of then was hiding to us his dark tendency, so he did something despicable. It raised to good humour of the group to new levels. I say the conversations are good stuff, and I don’t want to skip then. But I have see some people that may want to skip then, I hope are a minority.

For 60 bucks and then 15 per month, I am NOT gonna skip content. In a year, sure but certainly not now. It took me 25 hours to hit level 14 and get my spaceship. I see no reason to rush to end game content at all.
In a mature MMO like WoW it makes a certain amount of sense to rush to the end game because that’s where the majority of the players are. In a brand new game like SWTOR, though, enjoy the experience of questing, leveling, and exploring a new world for the first time while everyone else is doing the same. Aside from a very small number of organized catass guilds that transferred en masse from WoW or another MMO, most people won’t even start thinking about running end game content for a few more months at the earliest.
I have never seen that happen once in 80+ hours of play. And I have never skipped a cutscene I hadn’t already seen at least twice. I will certainly skip through the standard non-class quest stuff on subsequent character playthroughs, but that has no bearing on whether or not I enjoyed watching them the first time or two.

that’s because you are too slow if you find common quest npc with anyone around it.
if you are on a planet with more than 20 people, you are basically not skipping cutscenes.
I’ll take a video of a bunch of them for you.
My point exactly. They spent all this time and money and it’ll be wasted after the initial ‘new shiny’ wears off. Years from now no one will be watching any of them. It just makes me think that they were not planning long term and that’s sad.

I thought your point was no one liked the conversations and we’re all liars?

Do you also think that BioWare wasted a ton of money on voice acting in single-player RPGs like Dragon Age and Mass Effect because players skip through all the dialogue the second or third time they play the game?

Exactly. While I’m sure some players skip through the conversation, some probably even skip through the first time, I probably won’t. I’ve played through Mass Effect 1 five times and haven’t skipped a conversation yet in any of my playthroughs.
I think it’s also worth distinguishing between skipping the dialogues entirely and just skipping the voice acting. I do the latter in single player fully-voiced RPGs all the time, and I’m finding myself doing it in SWTOR sometimes too, but I’m still reading the conversation.

And what’s up with all these Codex entries? People don’t read that. And story? That just gets in the way of good, clean grinding. Really, Bioware, what are you thinking??
TLDR
Is it viable/possible on a RP-PvP server to take the Drizzt route? (bad guy goes good)

Hmm one thing it seems that they don’t have are server first announcements like WoW- to that end, I wonder if someone has hit the level cap and how long it took.
