And I just got my ship last night and went to bet tired knowing I could explore it today.

I am so put upon. Why is life so hard? ;)

I’m not sure if this was related to the upcoming server maintenance or the fact that the Oceania people are at work/school, but I was able to login to Harbinger instantly with no queue at 3:45PM PST today. Of course, I was only able to play for 15 minutes before the server went down (did a few quick space battles), but hopefully the “no queue on weeknights” trend continues.

My only problem with the ui is that that the auction house ui doesn’t let you select specific armor types to search for (i.e. heavy armor - helm).

Of course, because everyone else was logging off for the server maintenance at this time.

Queue’pocalypse also doesn’t start for another hour or so generally.

Ah, that should fit my schedule ok then. I live in the Mountain Time Zone and generally get home from work around 3:30-4:00PM PST, so hopefully that means I’ll beat the mad queue rush on most days.

Where you targeting your teammates?

Although you can pvp at level 10, the classes really start to get some of their core abilities around 14. You are also half naked at level 10.

My one complaint about the game (except server downtime during primetime) is what level they are giving you abilities. On my juggernaut I didn’t get a snare for several levels of pvp.

The launcher says 5 more hours. Yikes. Prime time U.S. maintenance is a new thing.

Just to confirm, your ship is considered a rest area right?

Also, is there a way to quick travel to your ship? Or am I stuck running?..although let me say, YAY for sprint!

Oh and hopefully this maintenance is solely due to the fact that the actual game release is tonite at midnight and primetime is not the new thing.

Several people have mentioned this is a one-time thing as it’s BioWare’s last chance for server maintenance prior to the official launch at midnight tonight. Regular server maintenance won’t normally be during prime time.

Agreed. I was surprised at how much quicker the money started rolling in at Nar Shaada. It’s not that unusual to pick up 100 credits in an encounter with random trash mobs there.

A grade 2 mission costs me 300-600 though and i doubt i have access to the better grade 2 missions yet either.

Sprint? How do you sprint?

It’s a skill every class earns around level 14

Mods?

Let’s try basic customisation and macros first.

Of course, it’s also a DX9c engine which runs off a single core, and they’re not even running a proper physics engine with it.

And it’s awesome! It’s an always-on 30% movement speed buff whenever you’re out of combat.

Wait until you get to the 1200 credit 23 minute tier 3 missions! And right before I logged out, I just sent T7 off on my first tier 4 mission which IIRC was 35 minutes for bountiful gemstones.

Does increasing your skill unlock missions within a tier? I did notice that early on, I only had two Tier 3 missions available, but now I have the same number as the other tiers. I assumed it was controlling the number available at any given time, not controlling which specific missions could show up. (Hope that description makes sense)

Yes, i am VERY sure it does.

I noticed gaining access to higher priced missions as my skill increased, even without changing the tier.

Ah yes, forgot about tomorrow being the 20th. And a thousand pardons for not reading the entire thread before commenting.

Interesting. Do you think skill increases impacts chances of getting better stuff? Or is it just the percentage chance of complete failure goes down.

Also any idea how crew affection plays in? Does it increase chances of critical success, reduce time, both, or something else?

Blackjack over at GamingTrend copied a post from the official forums on Space Combat – worth a read. I’ll link to Blackjack’s post since the official forums are currently down.

The main two take away points I didn’t know about are (1) you can barrel roll your ship which reduces incoming damage and (2) firing blasters prevents your shields from recharging,

Also Teggy from GT says you can right-click and drag to select multiple targets for missiles.
