Is Taris working ok now? I had read there was a bad memory leak due to the building assets on the planet which was making the game crash as soon as you logged into the area.

I was getting kicked out of SWTOR every couple of hours.

After opening the following ports on my router I have not been kicked out since:

8995 TCP
12000-12999 TCP
20000-30000 TCP

What makes a companion want to have a conversation with me?

I’ve had my current favorite have an icon saying she wanted to have a talk with me on my ship a few times now, so i get on my speeder and head to the starport but when i get off my speeder, the icon is gone. If i go to my ship, she won’t speak to me either.

Is that Kira? She’s bugged. Fix is on the Test Server, not sure what the ETA is. IIRC Senjak said it got fixed automatically for him when he hit Chapter Two.

No, it is Jaeasa. Her conversation icon seems to randomly go away when she disappears due to me going on a speeder or travel point.

I still get her to talk to me sometimes when it appears while i am near my ship though.

Maybe i just need to only give her gifts when i am right next to my ship.

Why she can’t talk to me in a cantina like the rest of them i don’t know…

Does anyone have advice on sniper builds/rotations? I thought they were supposed to be King DPS, but my sense is that I’m doing notably less damage than, well, everyone else I’ve grouped with. Wish I had DPS meter.

Soon. The main trick is that rich and to a lesser extend bountiful is where the money comes from. Normal missions about break even over time, and are really only for skill ups. If you’re looking for money, you’ll often have to drop down a tier or two for better boxes. That, of course, is a tradeoff as it will slow your skill gain.

The money isn’t THAT amazing, it’s just that it’s a strong source of positive income, and opposed to the slow drain of crafting. Over time you’ll end up with a lot more cash than someone who doesn’t have it if you’re diligent.

Ah, yes. I’ve now hit the “lol money” stage and it’s quite nice. Thanks.

Tanks are fantastic in PvP.

This is a trait they carried over from Warhammer – every PvE talent works in PvP, and the aggro-management stuff is extremely powerful in warzones. Guard, the taunts and Grapple are frankly more fun than killing repubs. Moreover, I’m ending up with 7 - 8 medals every match.

I hope they open more warzones at some point. I really like the current three, but we’ll need more variety soon.

I cant think of s single western MMO where you can force other players to attack you by taunts.

And to answer your question - no, it doesnt force you, but like in most other mmo’s, it lowers the targets damage towards others than you by 30 percent.

Huh, weird; I thought taunts would cause a force target in WoW’s PVP but you’re right. Curse my FFXI memories for bleeding into everything else. :(

Dorne and killing people

I have found a NPC that is a “to the letter” officer. Since all other officer in the republic are lazy or corrupt or both, she looks bright like a star in comparation. Then at some point she tell you that she was born in the empire, but changed sides because the empire was too random for his tastes. I think is brilliant, the idea and how is delivered. You normally would hate a character like what she represent, but on the context of the game, shes like the only decent characters in a sea of incompetent.

Now she tells me a officer is a war criminal. Bombing civilians and stuff like that. I think she is not lyiing and this dude deserve to die.

The game tell me that killing him is the wrong thing, but I disagree, It will morally wrong to let this byped monster to live.
