Whenever you have a thought like that, there’s only one possible explanation: they’re saving that for the expansion!
Boy, playing a Jedi Guardian’s a real struggle up to lvl 20, I seem to be doing piddly damage and I’m not even all that tough. (In contrast to my Jedi Sage who seemed to breeze through everything PvE to lvl 20 without getting a scratch, I seem to die quite frequently to Elites even in Soresu form) Game seems to favour ranged over melee - although having played a bit of Sith recently, maybe BW has just gone too far on downplaying the power of the Jedi (to make the other classes attractive)?
Dunno, but my Companion Kira seems to be doing more damage than me, to the extent that I’m beginning to hate her occasional snarky “looks like I’m about to beat your record boss” :)
In fact, come to think of it, mobs seem to find my T7 droid more of a threat than me (very fun companion, btw - has tons more typed dialogue because the audio is just bleeps). That just ain’t right.
Any tips from experienced Guardians would be welcome. So far I’ve got all the lowest tier of the Defence tree, with only the Sundering Strike buff in the second tree.

You are going tank. Your companion should be doing more damage than you. That’s life as a tank, you manage hate and don’t die while other people do damage. If you are going to be offended that Kira is out damaging you, you should respec into a DPS tree.

It gets a little better. I definitely felt the same thing around that level on my guardian. My fiance plays a healing sage and was ripping through enemies compared to me. Gear matters a lot, try to have a decent lightsaber hilt and armoring mod (when you’re using an orange weapon and chest). Grouping is great, but yeah it’s a little tough solo. Stick with it I guess?

Not sure what you mean here.
Do you mean being in groups and losing the roll to talk?
Even if someone else talks, you still get social points and basically every group mission can be repeated the next day, so if it bugs you enough, try again tomorrow. Hell, if it REALLY bugs you, gain 10 levels and come back to walk over the quest solo!
We just discovered there is no /roll command. That’s some serious fail.

I actually think it’s kind of fun to see what the other classes say.
We did an all Jedi Knight run through Esseless this afternoon, that was a bit strange, with just a single voice for all four of us. But I do like the cutscenes with other classes there.
As a tank spec Sith Juggernaut, I’ve found my life to be much easier since getting more of my tank talent tree unlocked. Like a wow prot warrior, the juggernaut builds on itself with a bunch of synergies that don’t come into their own until level 25 or so.

There is for certain classes, smuggler or Imperial agent if I recall correctly. You target the enemy. If you are near enough to cover you’ll see a green silhouette. Hit the cover button and you roll there. Otherwise you crouch in place.

I felt like my Jedi Guardian had a lot of tools in his toolbox when he hit level 30 that he just didn’t have earlier. There’s a lot of handy stuff to temporarily stun opponents and other items to directly protect yourself.
