Why on earth the hotkeys don’t work when the companion bar is overlayed is beyond me, but there is an option to move the companion bar over to the left or right side instead. I realize this doesn’t fix the issue, but it’s a lot better when all your critical stuff is in the two bottom bars.

I agree that there are too many skills that are required. I’ve got two full bars of 12 keys that I actually need to use frequently, plus the right side bar has buffs, stances and consumables, and it’s out of room, and i’m only level 42. THere are still 2-3 new buttons that I’m going to have to add and have no idea where they’re going to go.

The sad part is that there is no fix for this until at least the first expansion - no way BioWare is going to rebalance the game around fewer abilities until then.

I bind: 1-6, q, e, r, f, x, c, tilde and combinations with shift, alt, ctrl.
The only abilities in that shot I don’t really use are:
alt-5 : kolto pack, mostly superceded by emergency medpack
ctrl-e : a snare

And I know I’m going to get more abilities…

FYI you look like Magneto.

FYI you look like Magneto from that angle.

I know, isn’t it awesome? :D

Fall through macros would make such a huge difference.

I’m loving it, so glad I picked Imperial Agent as my first toon. The only down side to this (dare I say … dark side?) is that with all the eeeevil choices I’ve been making in the missions, which are perfectly in line with what an Imperial Agent should be doing, that I’ve been acquiring that Dark Side look, which must be bad for my agent trying to maintain a cover. It’s already bad enough since I took the hulking brute body type. I’m surprised they do that Sith Look stuff to non-Force users.

But the voicing and writing of the Agent is brilliant. And the choices of what he should do - a lot of those choices are really pretty devious and vicious and are inspired for the character class. I don’t think playing a Sith would be nearly as much fun, or a bounty hunter (and the Rebels, I mean Republic? Forget it).

You can turn off “Sith Corruption” in the options somewhere, if it bothers you.

I really don’t like the corruption look for all evil classes, it should probably only restricted to force user…

Doesn’t really make any sense to have everyone look like they are victim of domestic violence simply because they are evil.

And then the game will turn it back on for you…

Yeah it is bugged. It turns back on when you load a new zone.

A fix for that is listed in the upcoming patch notes. I’m happy about that as seeing heavy Dark Side corruption on my non-force user main bothers me.

There’s a patch tomorrow I believe, and this is among the fixes.

Anyone been hit by the Flashpoint reset bug? It’s naaaaaasty and I haven’t heard any word of a fix. Basically you get in a state where you can’t enter flashpoints at all. However any time you join a group you give the bug away to the group leader. Have had two flashpoint groups fail because of this. One fix is to get someone to invite you into a group then drop and leave then with the bug. According to someone I grouped with last night, this worked.

P.S. my UI gripe of the day is that it’s way too easy to buy something that you don’t want. I accidentally spent half of my item on an item I didn’t need last night because I was fumbling around trying to remember what combination of keys lets you see what something looks like on you. 30k -> 15k … and I just hit level 25. Guess I won’t be getting the speeder for a while.

I hope they put in combat log soon.

this weekend, I ran the vault of eternity with some guildies, small 8 man operation, pretty neat bosses fight all around.

the 4th encounter is a fight call Duel of the Destiny.

there are 8 Sith in Stasis, basically your group will have to fight them in a one vs one fight, you can’t help each other, you have to win all 8 fight to pass the encounter.

3 type of enemy, one is a tank with 70k hp, does very little damage(like 150 a hit on my sorc in light armor), one of them have 50k hp, deal moderate damage 300. and the last type is a 20k hp deal around 500 a hit or so.

So our group decided to have healer kill 20k hp, dps kill 70k hp and tank kill the 50k ones.

7/8 of us win all our fight with 80-90% health left over, and our mercenary dies to a 70k hp, we were like “oooook”, let’s give you a 20k one, you can probably burst him down and have our healer 70k one.

2nd attempt, 30 seconds into the fight, he dies first, we fail again.

3rd attempt, 50k hp ones, mob had 2k health left and he dies again.

last attempt, we decided to give him all our stim and heal and bubble his ass before the fight starts, he barely squeeze out a win.

I was laughing my ass off in mumble, if we had a combatlog, we probably would have replaced him after first boss fight.

I die a embarrassing lot of times in this game. Part of it is that I am probably outdated in something (maybe some gear, mods, or skills buying). Part of it is not using the full range of tools, for lazyness and … for lazyness mostly. I have a very long stun, and I never use it. But to be honest, I don’t know what I am doing wrong.

This has to be one of the funniest bugs in any game ever. The absolutely funniest aspect of it is when she’s sitting in a chair talking - she’s so tiny you can’t see anything, just the chair and the edge of the table. It’s Benny Hill funny, thinking of her pontificating in all her tininess just below your line of vision :)

Gear and stims definitely can make a fair bit of difference. There are some boss fights that I’ve only won after taking drugs bought at the Auction House. I’m also probably too reluctant to blow my 20 minute cooldown, and probably don’t use my 3 minute cooldown abilities as often as I should.

On a semi-related note, is anyone else weirded out at taking all these drugs in game? I don’t mind the health packs, but I feel weird drugging my character up on stimulants. Somehow Potions in fantasy games don’t bother me, but this does.
