Thanks for info!

Wish I’d known about that before ;)

I’ll check once I login sometime tonight… I’ve been wondering why they didn’t make that an option somehow…

This is quite possibly the single dumbest thing I have ever seen customer service do in an MMO, and that is saying a lot. In a game where you can sit on the fleet, at character level 10, and farm level 50 missions that net you 200k+ per day, with zero danger, risk, or even being at the keyboard, they are going to ban people for farming loot? /boggle.

This is just…unbelievable…

Servers are back up! I guess they scheduled 8 hours just in case, so they didn’t have a repeat of the last maintenance time where it took much longer than expected.

…and there is a chapter 3.

Chapter 2 is much longer and more interesting than Chapter 1 on the classes i have played.

Chapter 3 continues on well after you will hit level 50. Or did in my case. Yep i have had a month of work and have played way too much. I started Chapter 3 at about level 43 i believe.

If this is true, the game is monstrously huge.

Well I believe Bioware did say each chapter is supposed to be longer than KOTOR.

8*3 = 24 KOTORs. I guess $135 million buys you quite a lot of content. Although most of the content by playtime is the planet quests not class quests so with the Empire/Republic splits its more like a mere 6-12 KOTORs probably.

Unique storyline class missions aside, if you reroll characters for each class, you will still have to grind through the shared planet quests over 8 times.

On the other hand you can pick and choose your quests. Doing every single quest resulted in me being 6 levels ahead of the curve going into Alderaan.

Double post!

It really does need it, and it’s going to be a severe problem once the initial flood of users mostly progressing at the same level subsides. It’ll be like WoW was before the LFG patch - lots of empty content that no one ever does, alongside a few easily ground instances with useful gear.

Yeah that’s what I meant, the actual amount of unique content for each playthrough isn’t that high due to the overlapping planet quests. That said all flashpoint, heroic, pvp, planet, space and class quest content for one faction is probably enough to get through 2 different class stories without repeating much content. I just got to Nar Shadaa on my Operative at the top of its level range (24) after having done almost everything on Balmorra but still skipping 2 flashpoints.

3 here, but it sounds like you must have done way more flashpoints than i.

I just got told off by an npc for stinking of the light. (light 2 sith maurader).

I’ve done all the flashpoints once (except I think Cademimu which I have done twice), plus a number of space battles (I’ve probably done the lower level daily operations twice each). I’ve never had more than a bubble or so of rest xp per play session, I imagine a more rested character could skip huge swathes of content on each world if they so desired.

Oh I have noticed also that overlevelling content is actually a bad thing; grey quests give you only 5xp on turn in; so if you are going to do a quest, make sure you do it before it turns grey; if it turns grey it is essentially no longer worth doing unless you are desperate for credits.

Money is also not really a problem; I have about 100k credits and thats with levelling synthweaving/archaeology/underworld to 300ish each, buying a bunch of stuff on the AH, getting my speeder, bag expansion, etc etc. Practically no sales on the AH either; I find most gear simply doesnt sell.

I’m sitting on ~350k at 38 or so. The economics of selling loot and buying repairs/skills do pretty drastically outweigh the 100s-of-credits profitability of the best slicing missions as currently implemented, but it does still also reward mission discovery, cybertech schematics, and allows the looting of slicing nodes, so I’m not unhappy with it.

Both of my characters, 19 operative (cybertech) and 36 sith warrior (biochem), use money as fast as it comes in :(

Empire and Republic have different sets of planet quests, so it would be more like 4 times–unless you roll a character for each of the 16 different Advanced Classes.

i haven’t done any space battles and at 34, my entire 25/25 backlog is all heroic missions.

Good money in heroics, I’ll say.

Additonal: I do most of the bonuses (bonii?) too so that probably pads my xp and cash a bit.

So, what’s this about players getting banned for dancing in non-designated “dance zones” to exploit bosses? :D
