Yeah.
The ONLY fond memory I have of Rakghouls was watching them force choke…someone…
Less fond…being given light side points for having them do that.

at most i’ll resub in the future for a month to go through another class story or two to act 3 but that’s up in the air since most of the missions were really not memorable and ‘meh.’

This thread moves too fast to keep up.
Anyway, maybe someone already complained about this, but the discussion about loading screens made me think of it.
I don’t care as much about the loading screens. You know what I DO care about? Slow ass elevators everywhere.
Oh, I want to go up there… Not only do I have to take a freaking slow ass elevator to get there, but I gotta wait for the elevator to get down to ME before I can even get on it. Thank god that I can usually just jump off and not die when I need to come back down.
I’m not sure who thought it’d be a good idea to incorporate that kind of tedium into it.

Slow Elevator -> Bioware invention.

I’m nowhere near as bothered by load screens as I am by slow-moving elevators. Particularly slow-moving elevators in shafts that are particularly deep (or high) where you cannot jump unless you want to faceplant and die.
What’s worse, there are clearly places where they have had alternatives. Examples would be the dual lifts on Balmorra (where one will be at the top while one is at the bottom) or the super-fast elevators that go to the VIP area in the fleet station. There are also places where they use “click here to go” elevators, like those at spaceports.

one of the slowest and longest elevator ride is in flashpoint cadimume or something… a slight angle ride that takes FOREVER and stop at least 3 times for no reason what so ever.
There was actually a dual lift on Balmorra where both lifts were just a few feet off from each other so that when I got to the edge they were both down at the bottom. Total elevator fail.
I think this is the answer to all of the people who say “how come it’s 3000 years in the past but the technology is essentially the same?” It’s because 3000 years before the movies is when all of the scientists just stopped working on anything besides elevators. If this game is successful and they make a sequel in ten years all of the quests will be searching for ancient elevator parts from the Infinite Empire to figure out how they worked and killing 20 elevator saboteurs.

Not sure why it’s even a big deal that it’s the “Rise of the Rakghouls” since they’re just trash mobs. It’d be if WoW’s first content patch was “Rise of the Kobolds.” You no take candle.

That thing is bullshit. So stupid.

This is the plea they give you when you say you’ve cancelled for consuming all the content: “WE WILL CONTINUALLY BE ADDING NEW END GAME FLASHPOINTS, ITEMS, ZONES, AND OPERATIONS TO CONTINUE THE STORY DRIVEN CONTENT. ADDITIONALLY, IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY TRIED THE OTHER CLASSES, YOU MAY WISH TO EXPLORE THE UNIQUE STORY LINE THAT EACH INDIVIDUAL OFFERS.”

Notes for Patch 1.1 up on the Public Testing Server have been updated.
Probably the most important thing is high end Biochem is getting nerfed as are Cybertech level 50 grenades. Also I was excited about this:
Companion abilities that have been disabled by the player no longer toggle back on when the companion is re-summoned.
I was getting pretty tired of having to turn off Corso’s Harpoon everytime we went up and down an elevator, hopefully this fixes it.
[Edit] Apparently the notes I just linked to are only items added to the PTS patch today, so this is on top of what was already there. Here are the original items.
Shouldn’t they have a little storm trooper crying? I always enjoy seeing the little peon cry when I cancel my WoW sub. CRY MOAR NOOB!

not sure why they are nerfing cybertek bomb consider they are on 5 minutes cd and do about 3k damage over time at most.

Apparently they were causing issues in PvP.

I have both the bomb and rakata medic pack at moment, I rarely use the bomb since it’s 3k damage, consider my medic pack heals 5-6k instantly and only on 90 seconds cooldown…
if anything they need keep the damage on bomb and reduce cooldown from 5 minutes to 90 seconds.
I get requiring the skill, because not doing so is pretty clearly a bug that encourages players to get 400 biochem then drop it, but nerfing the heal isn’t really the way to go. The problem isn’t that biochem is too good, the problem is that the other professions are useless shit.

the best part about biochem isn’t even the medpack, it’s the +140 primary stat buff you can keep up permanently, it more stat than a normal armor piece adds.
