Please tell me that page is a joke.

Well… thats horrible. Some parts of the lore of Star Wars seems really ridiculous.

Lèse Moffesté! Moffship, open fire!

It was actually used in one of the novels, although nobody else has used it in anything else again. Ever.

Also looks like the novel it was used in was for Young Readers, which is generally defined as 8-12 years of age.

I don’t recall applying, and I’m not much for MMOs normally, but I just received a beta invite. Are there other North American Qt3’ers active in this Beta? Any server/faction/guild I should look to once the massive download completes?

bastard…

that and be VERY sure you got a real invite before doing anything is really all I have to say :-)

:)

Assuming swtor.com is the legit website, and some phishing group didn’t go to the trouble to create a launcher that downloads 30+ GB of data, it seems to be the real deal.

Yep, that’s it.

I would probably take that screen down just to be safe. I’m ultra paranoid, though.

Agreed. Congratulations, though.

That’s what happens when you follow my guide to get into the beta

So… US based Qt3 server or faction suggestions…?

Jason McMaster’s Sith Empire guild

http://www.swtor.com/guilds/141181/threevil

Rasputin’s Republic guild

I just noticed that Threevil is on NA/E and TRN is on NA/W. Whoops?

There’s just the one test server. I have a Republic trooper named Grenzaj, if you want to look me up.

I would be interested in how the game-play of this MMO is different than any other MMO aside from being Star Wars themed.

Unfortunately, nobody is going to be able to tell you (yet), because the beta is under NDA.

Lin and Leah, Republic. I guess I need to join the guild.

Last week’s MMO Report said Bioware released a 12-minute game play video at Comicon. Can anyone find a link to it?

I just did a quick google and I think that was Mass Effect 3 footage.

I went ahead and applied to the threevil guild. Hopefully that will get me into the damn beta finally. :P

Well,

  • Both based in Scifi/Space
  • Both have their private space ship
  • Both are 3rd person “shooters” with a RPG Feel
  • Both based on singleplayer RPGs
  • Both unreleased
  • Both EA/Bioware

I guess its easy to mistake one for the other.
