You can absolutely repair carriers, void rays, phoenixes, immortals, and even stalkers. You can also heal zealots, DTs, and HTs with med evacs. It is very useful in 2v2, though it can take a long time with the carrier.

In one of our games I had a carrier get the 40 kills with 1 unit achievement. A lot of back and forth in that game. Carriers are so awesome for drawing fire also when you have high damage terran tanks, hellions, and zealots underneath. They freak out and target the carriers only to realize their army is gone and the carriers are pulling back.

I’m 100% i couldn’t repair them after a game had ended. Maybe there is some script that disables, sort of like how the game will no longer count units killed or resources collected in your final score after that point. Good to know. Do they repair at the same speed as Terran equipment or is it still slower like in the beta?

I’m not sure at the speed. I should be playing tonight and we can test it. Usually he pulls a bunch off his lines to repair me quickly to get back into the fight. The carrier has so many hps though it is hard to tell if it is fast or slow with individual MULEs.

So I’m in the campaign and I have enough Zerg Research to get either the Predator or, whatever the other thing is (it was midnight when I got this, and I’m an old man so it was past my bedtime). Any recommendations there?

Also, I love how SPOILERS FOR MIDGAME ABOUT A LINE OF MISSIONS YOU GET AFTER HELPING TYCHUS the first Zeratul mission has you run up on a horde of zealots fighting a much larger horde of Zerglings, just like the LAST first Zeratul mission in Brood War.

I want a mod that opens up all of the Terran units for casual multiplayer. I’m going to miss the Medics, Firebats, and Diamondbacks.

Get the Planetary Fortress. Bah, never mind was thinking of a different upgrade earlier on.

The predator isn’t great, get the giant transport ship. It came in really handy in at least one mission for me. I don’t ever remember thinking I needed more area effect ground damage.

Yes! The Hercules, I think it’s called. That one certainly looked cooler.

I got the predator because it gave me a great Red Alert vibe, and I’m sure it could have been very useful in a lot of situations, but I never really used it. In fact, there were tons of units in the single player that I almost never used. Don’t get me wrong, I love the fact that they were all in there, but Blizzard was very right in keeping the multiplayer unit selection paired down to the essentials.

Goliaths still kick ass though.

I can’t play because I’ve lost my fucking authenticator that’s not needed in the least for this game. Really pissed with Blizzard for forcing something completely unnecessary to play the game.

I didn’t think I needed an authenticator for SC2 either until my account was compromised and an authenticator was added for me.

Still, it’s a crappy solution for an even crappier problem.

Your WoW account was compromised or your SC2 account? I don’t mind using it for my WoW account, but I just can’t see any monetary value in my SC2 account, so I don’t see a reason to hack that account.

They’re one and the same now, the WoW and SC2 accounts are Bnet.

I know. There’s no reason for them to be that way except Blizzard is too cheap to code out the authenticator for SC2. That’s what pisses me off.

Why didn’t you create a different account for SC2? There’s absolutely no reason to use your WoW account for it.

That’s a great point that I didn’t even think about. It’s too late now though right?

True. That sucks.

NO STARCRAFT FOR JOO!

Not true, I can pester my Starcraft friends when they’re doing whatever boring shit you do in WoW to stop that nonsense and come play a game of Starcraft with me.

Good news, my son found it for me. He also pointed out that if someone could guess my password they could play on my account for free. With the authenticator that becomes more difficult.

It’s kobe24, isn’t it?

You should write down the code on the back of your authenticator and keep it some place safe and secure. I believe that number is enough to remove the authenticator from your account. Not that I do this, but my apartment is sparse enough that losing things isn’t a big danger.
