My take is similar to Staff Sergeant. It’s great as long as you can make the game end before anyone hits the population cap.
I’d be concerned that you be susceptible to an early rush though, what with only 2 players defending.
Yeah it’s basically going all-in to the midgame as you can’t defend a rush and you can’t stand up in the late game.
This sucks. :( I guess hacks are a foregone conclusion when you’re playing a popular game.

That’s just pathetic. I mean really.
I’d like to personally thank Starcraft 2 for making me go back and rediscover Dawn of War and Company of Heroes, two games in my backlog. And I wouldn’t play SC2 if someone gave it to me. That is all [/hijack]
I don’t think it’s that big a deal. SC2 copies are tied to your Bnet account, which is single-email now. So they’ll be difficult to pirate and play online, if not impossible. Replays will allow you to sniff out suspected cheaters, who will get banhammer action. Without financial incentive, as with Chinese gold sparmers, the hacking of SC2 accounts for illegitimate purposes should be less of a problem.
I liked those WTii shoutcasts. I didn’t like HDstarcraft, he is too hyper and energized for me. I like listening to the guys that make it feel like they’re just having a personal chat. I’m sure there are thousands of people out there like that, but any other good channels that would work for me?

HD is kind of tame…maybe you mean his partner Husky?
Hacks have been around since beta. They are preventable, but it is a conscious choice to leave them in the game. For example, the current maphacks exploit the fact that replays are recorded locally instead of server side. It is an obvious vulnerability that is fixable, but as long as the hacks do not go viral, Blizzard would do nothing but ban people who use them.
I’m getting near the top of my Platinum division but the system keeps matching me against other Platinum and some Gold players. So I win a lot but I figured the system would want to challenge me after I win some, not keep throwing easier opponents at me. I was at about 19 wins 20 losses, and after that I’ve gone 12-1.
And a lot of those 12 wins is simply due to about 6 (!) PvP matches in which every single time the other Protoss has tried to go 1 gate core stalker, and failed every time vs a 2 gate chrono’d Zealot rush.
Takeaway: don’t go 1 gate core in PvP.

SaharaDrac. He has a great ‘late night FM radio DJ’ voice and is actually funny sometimes. He has his own channel, and also posts on the SC Legacy channel.
I’ve been doing team matches lately and my love of this game has grown. I did a 4v4 last night with a group of friends and it was a blast. Exhausting, but a blast.
Mass Void Rays are so much fun to use. If your opponents let one guy on your team sit back and quick tech and churn out about 10 Void Rays with +1 air attack, they can chew through just about anything when fully charged, save very large masses of marines/stalkers/hydralisks (just avoid those and run around their bases)
Yeah, I learned in a disastrous 1v1 yesterday not to let your protoss opponent have time to tech up to mass void rays without scouting him. I’m still pretty new.

I agree with this. I think i’d have more fun playing team matches with friends but that takes a lot more time that I don’t have.
In my limited experience this is correct, everyone plays terran and winning comes down to hoping they don’t rush your expansion and then teching faster than they can build their MMM ball. Nothing can stand up to that for either race without tier 3 units, and by the time you’ve teched there the terran army has ~125 supply worth of MMM and steamrolls you.
In Terran vs Terran its just who can produce faster.
The game is still fun though.

As protoss you can ruin his day pretty easily with a couple of high templars, once all the storms are done and your HTs are dry just morph them into an archon and roll on. HTs aren’t really that far in.
I pretty much always rush to stalkers & HTs every game, it gives you a good mix to deal with the standard openings.

That hasn’t been my experience. Well used banelings can deal very handily with the MMM ball, along with Colossi and psi-storm on the Protoss side. While it’s true that teching up to Colossus can be a problem, the Protoss can contain a Terran through proper use of a proxy pylon and an aggressive style, forcing the Terran into his base or overwhelming him outright. TvT becomes a Tanks+Vikings standoff most of the time, and any MMM ball trying to just muscle their way through -that- is going to be on the poetic side of the Charge of the Light Brigade.
There are imbalances, and MMM is strong, but it’s nowhere near unbeatable.
