Indeed THQ pack is amazing, minus Homefront.

:p

Nothing new for me today. So that completes my Steam haul:

Heroes of Might and Magic V Pack (with bonus orc kicking)
Darksiders
Stalker: Call of Pripyat
King Arthur Collection
Far Cry 2
King’s Bounty Collection
Prince of Persia 2008

I’m not even finished downloading everything, it’s going to take weeks before I’ve played all these games…

Yeah, totally hating on Steam right now. That 7 bucks I could have used on another game. Next time, I’ll wait until the last day.

Yes it is standalone.

It’s back to $15. Just another botched price.

Exactly.

I’m so very pleased with myself right now.

Glad it didn’t take them 4 hours today… :p

Bah that sucks. I was just about to buy it too.

I think i will just buy sanctum instead, maybe.

And the final tally is:

Day 1:
Dawn of War 2: Retribution - I don’t know why I keep buying these when I haven’t put much time into any of them yet. I want to, and they sound great, but I just never get around to them…

Day 2:
Puzzle Agent 2 - Not really part of the sale, but I was interested in the first one and it came for free with the sequel.
Gratuitous Space Battles pack - I already own it and the first couple expansions, but this was a cheaper way to get the whole set.
Railworks Canadian National DLC - Yes, I am now officially part of the problem… I’ve still only spent less than $8 total on Railworks 2 and hey, it’s an iconic train for those of us who grew up out west and often saw them along the highways, at crossings, etc.

Day 3:
Darksiders - Wasn’t really blown away by the videos I saw of it, but for $5 it’s worth a shot.
Football Manager 2011 - Yeah, the new one’s probably out within a few months, but I’m mainly just curious and looking to get my feet wet.

Day 5:
F:NV Honest Hearts DLC - Haven’t even started F:NV yet, but may as well grab the DLC for cheap whenever I can.
M&B: With Fire and Sword - Might regret this one after reading some more, but it was cheap, and might still be worth some fun even if it’s not the preferred entry.

Day 6:
King Arthur: Druids and Saxons DLC
Civ 5: Denmark DLC
Again, games I haven’t put much time into, but expect to enjoy enough that I may as well grab the DLC when it’s cheap.

Day 8:
Sanctum - Almost entirely by the word-of-mouth here, so this better be good… shakes fist
Tomb Raider: Underworld - I’d almost forgotten I hadn’t picked this one up yet, after enjoying Legend quite a bit.

Final day:
Railroad Tycoon Collection - I’d been meaning to try these out for ages now, but couldn’t really find any consensus as to which was best, so I may as well get the whole set.

For a total cost of roughly $85, which is on the low end for me when it comes to these sales.

I don’t know if anyone else did this, but I ended up purchasing several things without actually downloading them. My backlog is large enough, and space on my SSD short enough, that I figure I’ll download my next purchase after I’ve deleted something already installed.

I could of course move my Steam directory to my data drive, but I rather like the performance benefits of having games on my SSD, and I’ve got 7 fairly large games (and a few small ones) installed right now.

I have one copy left of Borderlands GOTY since one my friends just decided that he’s not interested in the game anymore. So if anyone is interested in grabbing it please PM me!

Yeah that Retribution price change got me, too. That’s what I get for laughing at those Terraria losers, I guess!

Oohhh I will have to try this mod. Thanks!

Had it in the cart at 7, and went looking for other stuff, came back and its 14 :(

Looks like Sanctum is my final purchase in this Sale.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Cities XL 2011
Divinity II
Hoard
Just Cause 2

I’m debating Witcher 2. I still haven’t finished the first one and I fear I won’t get to it till next year sometime. By that time, I assume it will be cheaper than today’s sale price.

Now that I’ve done more research on King’s Bounty I think I’ll have to start with Legends after all! The map is apparently quite different, and there’s a much more extensive tutorial. True or false? I had been under the impression that you played on the same map in all games.

The class balance is also supposed to be quite different in Legend vs. AP. If you want to play a mage, it’s much easier in Legend, but warriors are more practical in AP.

Same. Kinda evil, but oh well.
