Ned was the best, Knoxx had way too much travel involved.
Thank you.
Here’s my list:
Civilization V (didn’t actually buy it on Steam, but on Gamersgate. It unlocked on Steam though)
Drakensang
Drakensang 2 + expansion
Fallout: New Vegas + DLC
King Arthur DLC (Druids and Saxons)
Mass Effect 2
Overlord II? (was this in the summer sale? I bought it very recently, either way)
Paradox Fantasy pack (All Majesty and Elven Legacy games and expansions)
Warhammer 40k: Retribution
Looking at the list, it’s a bit longer than I’d have thought. I’m pretty pleased with my purchases, though, and I do believe I’ll be playing all of them, with the possible exception of Elven Legacy, which just happened to be part of the cheap Majesty package.
Ugh, I see that Dr Ned has SecuROM with the 5 machine limit. Does that come back if you uninstall?
Qmanol
1844
MNC ($3)
Terraria - a gift, but would have bought it anyway.
Beat Hazard Complete ($3.24)
Spacechem ($5.19)
Portal 2 ($22.50) 2-pack with my brother
Sanctum ($3.75)
All the JC2 DLC ($2.22)
Still thinking about some of the other AAA games today, but I have enough of a backlog.
I am pretty sure I have bought more games during this Summer Sale than I have in the past 3 years combined. That is partly due to an aging computer and several of the purchases were to catch up on those I have missed.
Heroes V Complete Pack
Tropico 3 Gold
Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition
Fallout - New Vegas
King’s Bounty Complete
Atom Zombie Smasher
Rift - Collector’s Edition
Worms Reloaded
Jagged Alliance 2 GOld
Disciples 2 Gold
Greed Corp
$73.86 (Average of $6.71 per not counting the expansions included with the packages)
Totally worth it. I feel secure in saying I am going to have a hard time getting around to all of the gaming goodness before the Christmas Sale.

Waaay to lazy to find the link for you, but their is a revoke tool you are suppossed to use BEFORE you uninstall to get the license back.

ps. ok, here’s the securom FAQ paage, scroll down to Dr. Ned and they link you to it.
I’d really like to see Steam include more information about the DRM scheme on each title’s main page. I’m probably not going to completely avoid buying a game because of the DRM, but if it’s going to require some sort of action on my part to prevent running out of activations, I’d like to know up front. Ideally, of course, each game would surrender itd DRM to Steam’s own, but I know that’s not a trivial exercise.
I was going to nab Spectromancer but then the installation limit was mentioned so I passed. Having said that, am I going to regret my ideological decision :) ?
Can you idiots stop installing all your games for a minute? I’m trying to decide whether to buy Hammerfight and I want to try the demo. The servers are down.
[EDIT] Thanks, working now.
I definitely recommend Hammerfight, especially at that price. My only complaint is that the way the game is played is taxing for the wrist, and I find I can only play for a few hours at a time, before having to take a rest.
Thanks dude. I think I’m going to buy Dr. Ned and General Knoxx and call it good.
Hey, does Battlefield BC2 Vietnam have any single player content, or is it MP only?
Also, whoever was lamenting having missed the Fallout NV DLCs, they’re back on special.
Yeah, worried about that too.
Fiddling with the mouse sensitivity setting in the game options helps, but it’s still an issue, for me at least. It’s not too bad, though, since I probably wouldn’t play it for more than an hour or two at a time, anyway.
Final tally, in reverse chronological order of purchase–all told probably around 85 bucks:
General Knoxx and Zombie Island DLC for Borderlands.
Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines–this almost never goes on sale, so I finally picked it up today to see what the fuss is about.
X-tension (for old times’ sake–backup copy)
Supreme Commander 2–explody mechs and robots=fun, right?
Mass Effect 2
Tomb Raider Anniversary (backup)
FarCry (backup)
Atom Zombie Smasher
Beat Hazard
Fallout NV DLCs, both of them
Trine
Bully (backup)
Tropico 3 Gold
Dragon Age Origins Ultimate
Men of War: Assault Squad
Defense Grid DLC (4 map packs)
Dark Messiah of M&M (backup)
I can’t believe I didn’t get ME2 (bank account was empty). Oh well.
Did get:
Terraria
Gary’s Mod
Dragon Age Ultimate Edition
Assasins Creed 2 Deluxe Edition
Total: A little less than $25
Is puzzle agent 2 any good?
I was about to buy it before I realized I already own the first one. So that might just scratch my puzzle itch instead.
So I bought SC:Conviction, and I can’t get past this “UPLAY Registration” screen…am I doing something wrong or is it really telling me I HAVE to create an Ubi.com account to play this thing?
So I spent the three tickets on the Golden Ship in Beat Hazard, but I’m not seeing it in-game. Anyone know what the story is? I don’t have the Ultra version of the game if it makes a difference.
