Yeah I was going to do this but I thought the time investment would be too much for the fun I got out of it.
I mean, if my dwarf fortress is full of magma and there are elephants at the gates then I know the end will be quick so it’s easy to play out. 2-3 more years of a turn-based war game is something else.
I totally know what you mean. Where does one invest their limited time. I did push on once intending to kamikaze my units in grand glory to finish the game off in quick anger. Then I was surprised that I made a dent, then I’d made larger bulge, and then I was like, whoa just maybe…
Then the AI proceeded to do a flanking and rear action maneuver to cut me off and pummeled me into oblivion.
