Thanks to Netflix’s recommendation system, and the ease of popping open a new tab and adding movies to it when I see a film mentioned elsewhere, I’ve seen a few obscure (as far as mainstream movies go) films that I’d never have discovered otherwise. A couple of recent films I enjoyed: Eulogy. Generally the presence of Ray Romano is enough to send me running from a film, but here it was countered by a +3 Zooey of Deschanel. And for Amazon

Amazon Prime video streaming

As if Prime weren’t already amazing value, Amazon has decided to roll free streaming of movies and TV into the bargain. “Over 5,000 titles” so far. I have no idea at present whether this includes anything unavailable through Netflix, but it’s a heckuva bonus and a move I sure didn’t see coming.

Possibly not for Hulu.

Though admittedly these didn’t start out as “exclusive” threads, that’s where they’ve ended up.
