Guilt by association is not always an incorrect assumption either. For example, in this case, where it turns out that she does not have significant credentials, and takes money from Agribusiness to advance their interests, her similarity to shills and sock puppets may come, not from the fact that she is falsely associated with them, but because she is accurately identified as one of their number.
