I believe a second season is already confirmed. and will probably take place in the Americas, so I don’t know that the EIC is likely to play a huge role at that point. We will have to see.
As of 24 hours ago, Tom Hardy and the other producers are still being cagey about confirming Season Two.
From the wording Tom Hardy uses in the interview, it sounds a lot like the show may be trying to move to a different network for a second season. Amazon Prime or Netflix would be the obvious guesses.
he specifically mentioned the Azores, so they may still be a ways away from the states.
Fair enough. Not London, in any case.
Finally got to see the final episode - I really really enjoyed this show, and am looking forward to the next season. Mr. Hardy really is something else as an actor.
About the whole taboo title - Im not so sure it only alludes to the siblings relationship, but also to practice of slavery, and the indecency of man in general in those times. The incest angle is, in my opinion, a bit of a red herring here. James has apparently done a lot of unspeakable things, and his entire plan involves a lot of sacriifice of people. He is, frankly, not a very nice man, even though he strives to be.
