I saw that this was published in St. Louis so that made me dig a bit. They also publish these coloring books:

So while a Ted Cruz book strikes me as a bad idea I guess they are covering as many bases as they can. It also makes me wonder if Cruz commissioned the book? I really doubt that Cruz thinks being gay is ok.
