We are now… mostly relocated to Durham, North Carolina, for the next year or so. It’s been two years to the day that we left SF and started our road trip. It’s a weird feeling suddenly being tied down to a place for a while (not stopping us from traveling, obviously).

It’s Artprize time again here in Grand Rapids MI. I went downtown yesterday and wandered around, here’s a few of the pieces that caught my eye. I only saw maybe a quarter of it, may try to hit another section before things wrap up next week.
This one is one of my favorites, several little diorama scenes inside clay pots.
There was another pot with a model of Stonehenge in it which had a little light set up to rotate around it to simulate sunrise and sunset. Didn’t get a photo of that one, wouldn’t have done it justice and didn’t want to block others’ viewing to take a video, but it was pretty sweet.
Those are really awesome; probably waaaaaay beyond my means to ever own a bunch of art, but maybe after I win the lottery. In the meantime, thanks for showing those!
