Thanks very much.

+1. It really is a terrific shot.

How do you get the stained glass windows to come out so well? I’ve taken pictures of stained glass before and it never comes out well – either black surrounding the window or the whole window is washed out (I was about to type “overmodulated”). Is that a composition of two images or did it come out of the camera like that?

Straight out of the camera (shot raw though and developed in lightroom 4), the sun was behind and on the windows giving it a bit more light which really helped. I also shot 3 shots at a spread of 2.0 +/- exposure to give me more room to get them right. Those shots were the correct exposure though.

This one didn’t come out as well, i think it was because it was on the other side of the abbey and lacks light from outside.

I don’t normally use my phone for pictures (iPhone 4s) but these 3 are from it, also used iPhoto to develop in phone as well.

Nice ship!! Oh, the kids is cute too. ;-)

More of a pic of me…

Got to interview Keegan Michael-Key for my podcast, pretty cool stuff.

Today was a perfect Fall day and I was lucky enough to have a few free hours. After some bracketing and shopping, I’m happy with my new desktop wallpaper.

A path that winds out of view is the perfect wallpaper.

LOVE that pic Douglas!

Yeah a great shot

A few shots with an Autumn feel to them.

Upton house looks surreal. Spooky somehow, but with lots of daylight and green.

I hope the English tourist board is paying you…

Love that house!

Yeah with all this beautiful scenery :)

Dad and I paid a visit to small Air Museum near the Bournemouth Airport, only cost £5 to get in. There are about 10 aircraft some whole and some just the front end but you can climb in them and have a seat etc. Really enjoyed it and here are a few of the planes there.

All shots were taken at 12mm and in camera HDR, I was being lazy as my dad was using the cameras well and the subject matter fits HDR pretty well.

Nice shots. The Texan shot might work better with a flat horizon and a tilt to the plane.

Yeah not the best framed shot, there is very little cropped and tilting it loses a part of the wing and the other shot has my shadow in it as well which looks rubbish.

Looking at it again, I like the way the front edge of the wing makes a nice even frame/border effect with the grass at the bottom. Somehow it balances it out. Different, but nice. I like it.
