Well that’s certainly out of left field.

kerzain, you’re not a troll in the same way I am not a guy who posts horrible comics to threads.
you can’t put no boogie woogie on the king of rock n roll :)

I don’t care how you spin it, that hurts me. If you weren’t PMing me all those naked pictures of yourself every day I would totally be putting you on ignore right now.
That’s a really odd thing to say. You have almost 6k posts in 2 years as a member. That means you average 3k posts a year, or 1500 every 6 months (1750 in a 7 month period). I’m not seeing the huge difference in posting patterns. Also, what’s the supposed connection between quantity and quality?
Kerzain isn’t a troll. He just has a very dry sense of humor. Once you understand that, his posts become pretty humorous in many cases.

9.92 posts per day versus 8.29!
Both kerzain and Jon Danger are trolls.
Or he could just be really unfunny. That’s a possibility too.

I’ve been wanting to redo the kitchen since I bought this place about five years ago. A contractor just told me that no one would ever pull a permit on this place because apparently the plumbing and the electrical are entirely illegal. He was surprised an inspector would have ever passed the place and said I’d have a really hard time selling it that way. To get someone to do the work, I’d need to install a vent through three floors of other units and out the roof. Then I’d have to entirely redo the electrical since apparently me having my fridge plugged in right now is an extremely dangerous fire hazard.
Fucking awesome.

mmalloy start documenting this stuff RIGHT NOW.
I might be thinking of the wrong person, but you live in California right (if not then I have no idea what the statue of limitations is in your part of the world, it varies by state)? If things haven’t changed the statue of limitations for home-buyers to sue home sellers (and possibly inspectors, contracting firms etc depending on the specifics) is only four-five years. You need a paper trail showing how and when these problems showed up
My first step would be to get a second opinion from another licensed contractor/electrician etc. My next step would be to buy an hour of time from a real estate attorney and find out what your options are for being reimbursed for the time, hassle, and cost of these repairs (not to mention whatever negative effect they may or may not have on the long term value of the property you own).

Well, I have no idea about Mass. Sorry :(
But it’s worth checking in to, I would still document every aspect of what is going on until you find out for sure you have no recourse whatsoever.
kerzain is not a troll, exactly, though he does clearly make ‘bait posts’ from time to time. I would agree that his sense of humor is rather dry and he often employs sarcasm that others simply don’t pick up on.
None of that means he is actually being funny. As they say, your mileage may vary.
On-topic: I, uh, ate a chicken sausage roll. My life, it is crazy!

Hey guys, I’m off topic. This thread is supposed to be about stuff that’s interesting. Take it to the It’s not funny but it’s funny thread.
kerzain’s troll status is irrelevant to making a lame comment about how “hey man I thought you were a loser but you can be all right sometimes!” Just one of those things where you’re trying to sound nice but come across socially inept instead.
As long as we’re talking about home repair nightmares, I’ve discovered mold in my air conditioning system. I’m not one for homeowner panic and scare stories and might not even a raise an eyebrow at the nuclear option of replacing all the ductwork. I’m more concerned that an inspector is able to determine the extent of it and assure me that it’s not a result of some other hidden cause. I’m on the edge of my seat wanting to know why it happened more than gnashing my teeth over it.

Do not shine UV lights in a hotel room. You won’t like what you see.
That’s a matter of perspective.
