I’m moving from a tiny garage studio into a giant house on a hill with an amazing view of the city and ocean. Score!

tiohn, I’m so sorry to hear that. Someone mentioned this service in H&S, it seems pretty good.

You also have a nice greenbelt in walking distance.

That’s Golden Gate Park, which is full of all sorts of amazing stuff - museums, gardens, playgrounds, and adorable squirrels that climb all over you.

Is it an office building or is it just totally empty?

That’s pretty darn cool IMO. All I have that are friendly in my yard are the groundhogs, and they are massive I tell ya, MASSIVE!!!

Come on, you can’t honestly tell us that you wouldn’t want to wake up every morning and cackle megalomaniacally as the king of Columbus. That you are the only one in the building only adds to the misanthropic charm.

Office building. About half full. Whole floors are locked as they have no tenants (my brother nonchalantly inquired about that).

Beautiful view, Leah. Based on the geography I guess that I should be able to correctly wave to you (and Gary?) every Saturday morning. Finals this weekend, aargh!
So what’s happened to me recently (that’s interesting) is: It turns out that “squamous” and “angina” aren’t just words to giggle at. To the former, nothing is malignant and the blood tests were OK, but I’ll have to keep an eye out. Fortunately my GP minored in art or something and his drawings of what to look for were masterful. To the latter, my LDL/HDL of 190/40 raised some eyebrows so I’ve gone back to vegetarian for awhile and no more “I’ll start again next week” on the workouts. I’d rather do this for a few months and see what happens rather than jumping right into a lifetime of meds as the doc recommended (to be fair, I imagine 99% of his patients prefer easy solutions like that rather than making a change).
On the upside, I got an informal/intern-y type part time job at a local winery so that I can get more serious about that. I don’t like finance very much anymore. Life’s too short for that kind of stuff.

Want to cook bacon? Better like that smell. For a week. There is a hood vent on both the stoves (one kitchen on each floor!) but that smell would still linger with no fresh air.
I’ve read this a few times but I’m not seeing the problem.

Yep, Gary too! We’re moving in together. Prepare for a mass power outage when we plug in all of our consoles and computers at once. Shit could get ugly. If your finals were a bit later, we’d time it to coincide with that. We’re one hill over from campus.

There is a very good chance I will be getting married in the phillipines next year. No, not a mail order bride, my fiancee is part phillipino and its just super cheap and it completely thrilled her parents to have it over there.

Fred Phelps’ crew was protesting outside my old high school today. Apparently there were only like a dozen or so protesters.
And just about the whole high school from students to faculty turned out to counter-protest. It was awesome.

I’ve got an interview with San Tan Today, a community newspaper in a town 30-40 minutes away.
I’ll probably manage to make like, $20 an article.
On the other hand I currently make $0 an article, so I’m all over it at this point.

I passed my A+ cert tests! I’m done with step 1 on a potentially long path of certifications.
