no bad weather for us it seems. At least nothing that’s coming in over Weatherfox.

Don’t get to go home til tomorrow. Finished my German final this morning. only 3 more semester of undergraduate studies!

If you get stuck in Ohio, let me know. I’ll try to come rescue you. I love about 10 miles away from 77. (typo left because it’s so odd)

hah, ok. I have a giant bottle of Sake with me if it does get that dire. I will activate the qt3 rescue beacon.

I read that as rescue bacon.

Might help those rescue dogs sniff their way to you easier.

It would certainly improve your odds of getting rescued if you had bacon on you.

Cook it first though in case you’re tempted to eat it so you don’t get tape worms.

We’ll, I’ve wimped out. not going.

Greenville:
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow… sleet… or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities… and use caution while
driving.

NC (to Charlotte):
Storm total snow and sleet accumulations will be highly variable
across the area… with the highest amounts in northwest sections
and lowest amounts to the southeast. Most areas will see
accumulations of about 1 to 2 inches. Locally higher amounts will
also be possible within heavier bands of precipitation. The
snow… sleet mix will make for treacherous driving

Northern NC:
significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel… keep an extra flashlight…
food… and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Virginia:
Heavy snow will make travel conditions extremely hazardous if not
impossible. All unnecessary travel should be avoided. If you must
travel… use your headlights… drive at slower speeds… and allow
extra time to reach your destination. Leave with a full tank of
gas… and carry an emergency survival kit including food…
water… and blankets.

Well, your mom might be alone all weekend, but at least you’ll still be alive to enjoy the guilt trip if she’s the type to dole them out.

Oh she’s perfectly happy with me, she’s pissed at my sister who packed up my niece and is enroute already.

Hell if I showed up at her house at this point I’d get the patented safety glare.

The real (selfish)bummer is I don’t get to see my highschool buddy’s kids open their christmas gifts, and I am 13 hours into a large tattoo that should have been getting colored in this weekend up there, and will now have to wait until new years.

Selfish positive: Perfect night to play that new snow/ice centric Silent Hill game.

Having to keep water in your vehicle to travel sounds pretty scary to me…jeezus.

I’m guessing it’ll be mid-year 2010. I’m sure it won’t go unannounced. :)

Perhaps not bad by Binghamton standards. Doesn’t the rain festival go from January 1 - December 31 up there?

Do me a favor and have a spiedie for me before you go!

Someone who knows my area! Spiedie Rib Pit is still bustling as ever. The Wet weather is indeed year round, and without fail. Then you’ll strangely get that week long of beautiful sunshine, and right when you get used to it, back to the fucking rain again.

Having some venison spiedies tomorrow, i’m excited.

After almost 3 years of grappling I got my first case of pretty monstrous cauliflower ear. I will hopefully have this taken care of soon enough that it doesn’t become permanent.

Blech.

The name alone sounds disgusting.

Moore, here’s what it might have looked like as you went through OH (assuming you were going that far):

That looks rather beautiful actually.

Are those your woods outside that window?

That’s the view from the bay window in our dining room. So that’s our back yard. However, just past the shed there is a ravine, and our property basically ends at the ravine (as does the city limits to our village). You can’t see it there, but there’s a house a bit to the right, probably 100 yards away, with woods between us. I don’t own all those woods, but I could walk through them if I wanted. It’s a bit of an incline though, so not very comfy. We do have a lot of wildlife that comes up to the house from those woods: deer, turkeys, groundhogs, etc.

The top picture was taken from my living room window. That’s our neighbor’s house across the street. It’s a nice little neighborhood. Very quiet, with a lot of retired/older people. We like it a lot.
