I turned in my resignation yesterday. I’m moving to a director position at a small company looking to develop computer vision & machine translation products. I’m a bit nervous but very excited, it’s going to be a blast!
Also, now enjoying being a short-timer at work. Very relaxing…

But I can see both sides. ElG has every right to share, he’s doing nothing wrong here, but people also have every right to comment. Especially when he’s posting redunkulous stuff like “Woe is me, here I am sipping champagne in the hottub with two nekkid blondes, when I’d rather be with the one and only!”
And I remember the meatshield and can certainly see why that would make anybody feel like going a bit wild.
meatshield? Am I missing or not remembering a classic ElG thread?
As someone who has taken the occasional potshot at ElG, I want to state for the record that my motivation was envy and not malice. People who have been too successful need a little ribbing to maintain their humility ;-)

How can you have been here since 2002, participated in pretty much every Guapo discussion, and not have heard of the meat shield story?
Contrary to popular belief, a high post count doesn’t mean one reads every single thread. Especially if the thread title looks boring ;-)
Google isn’t coming up with anything for me, meatshield is too common a term in gaming for me to really drill down even on a site specific search. Anyone care to provide me a link or at least enough keywords to find this meatshield story?

So there’s been a large instance of youth rioting down on the Plaza here in Kansas City. People being harassed, robbed, etc. Youths numbering in the hundreds descending on the promenade and accosting decent folks.
I am so tempted to see if I can talk my co-workers into starting up a posse as a team-building exercise and going down to kick some ass all Dynasty Warriors style on the tumultuous rebels. Bring the pain, Lu Bu style!
