Apparently it’s quite close to Bathurst Street/Eglinton Avenue.

Oh, wow, that is quite a bit further south than I thought.

Got the bits for my new PC this morning! \o/
Put my new PC together. \o/
It didn’t work.
I realised I shouldn’t have anything plugged into the system fan connector because the Antec 900 fans run straight off the PSU.
New PC worked! \o/

I’m sitting in front of my 24inch 1080p monitor now. Had to have Firefox in windowed mode because the screen is too big to read at full screen now. I’m fucking delighted. Mostly at the fact that I’d never put a PC together before and managed it with only 5 minutes troubleshooting. And a few minutes of consternation at driver installs. But still, absolutely delighted. I feel manly, in a nerdy way. Now I can build computers for other people. I should set myself up as a tech expert and get a moped to drive me and my screwdrivers around.

Now I have to figure out how to get Windows 7 running properly. And play games. Lots of games. :D

I got asked on a man date. As a guy with very few male friends and an eventual need for groomsmen, this is all very exciting. If he buys the popcorn do I have to put out?

Only into the popcorn.

You might want to start off with the “I like you, but only as a friend and I reserve the right to call you at any time, day or night, to bitch about my girlfriend” speech. Unless he drives a Ferrari or something. Then you might want to hold out for diamond earrings before you shoot him down.

Are you going bowling or will you play darts?

…and the award goes to WarrenM!

This is probably only interesting to me, but my wife, who is practically agoraphobic at this point, just drove herself to Columbus for her psych appointment. That’s about an hour and a half away. I don’t think she’s driven further than WalMart (about 10 miles away) in 2 years. So I’m proud of her. That may seem silly, even patronizing, but I’m serious. It’s a big step on her road to recovery, especially considering that she was suicidal for a while there.

I wrote a blog about a toll free number service.

REPOR… wait. What?

It might actually have been.

An upset in your normal routine can trigger a migraine, especially if it’s one that’s a strain on the eyes and head which video games tend to be.

If you get more migraines, though it seems counterintuitive and you probably mostly want to lie in bed with the curtains drawn and absolutely no sound whatsoever, try taking a walk. It doesn’t have to be a long one, just long enough to get your heart rate up a little and the bloodstream active. I’ve recently been diagnosed with chronic migraines and cluster headaches - believe me, you’ll do anything to take the edge off after the third week straight of migraines through the day and interrupted sleep from cluster headache attacks at night.

It actually was going for a walk that gave me the migraine - it was caused primarily by the heat and humidity we’re having out here.

I’ve had people all around the country that tell me this same thing. I assumed they were telling me that because I’m from Utah.

I dissuaded my admin assistant, an older immigrant lady, from buying a $4000 machine from a friend that ionizes and alkalizes water so that you don’t have to eat fruits and vegetables to prevent cancer, osteoporosis, etc.

What?

Damn it JMJ, not before I sell her a Bionic Band!

Why drink ionized, alkalized water, when you can drink magnetized water?
