I signed up for doula classes! Hopefully by this time next year I’ll have attended the three births necessary to complete certification, and will be well on my way to being a certified, trained labor assistant.

I had baby #2 a few days ago, and endured some thrilling* medical drama for a few days. The baby is doing great, the drama was all mine but I’m back on track now.

Hey, congrats!! You just narrowly missed Mother’s Day this year, but may your next year be twice as nice. Also, pics of newborns are mandatory. If you get baby mid-poo s/he’ll look like s/he’s smiling. :-)

I figured out how to plug a boom mic into a camera and film something that didn’t suck. In fact, it turned out pretty good!

Next comes editing it into something watchable. I’ll leave that to the experts.

i gave away $130,000.

last week i applied for a cd from a bank, and electronically deposited $3000.

today i got 3 letters back from the bank i used (differentbank than what i use for my checking/savings account). one told me the $3000 deposited ok, another requested i send a form back confirming i wanted $3000 in the cd, and a third telling me $130,000 deposited okay.

the third was a bank error in my favor. i called them and the operator said someone on their end put money from some guy’s wamu account into my cd by accident.

That was really honorable of you. That being said… Fuck that’s a nice chunk of change you let go. They would’ve found it eventually, and probably have never said anything to you about taking it out.
