What is Balut’s image referencing? I want to laugh at it but I feel that I’m missing the joke. It’s funny but I’m uncomfortable because I don’t “get it”.

Joseph Ducreux (June 26, 1735 – July 24, 1802) is an eighteenth century French artist known for his unorthodox style of portrait paintings. On the interweb, his eccentric self-portrait has inspired a series of exploitable macros, featuring “archaic reinterpretation” of popular rap lyrics superimposed over the artwork. Reminiscent of Bayeux Tapestry image macros, this highly verbose joke provides a satisfying challenge of “decoding” the corrupted lyrics back into to the original verses.

I’ve only posted a couple of times in this thread, but I’ve been reading it since it got started, and I just want to say how happy I am to read this post. Go Ned!
It could all come crashing down (you know, the “let’s just be friends” talk) but for now it’s nice and I’ve not changed my mind on taking a break from dating, so if this fizzles out, I’ll at least have had some fun* before reverting back to confirmed singledom. The thing right now is I’m just extremely comfortable with this guy. He’s very self-effacing and passionate, but in a quiet sort of way I find incredibly appealing. It’s completely unlike anyone else I’ve met over the last year where it usually never went beyond “seems like a nice guy”. I guess it may be that elusive chemistry.

I’m curious what is the longest distance anyone has driven to go on a date with someone you met online? I’ve been talking to a woman who I really like, but she lives 200 miles away, so distance will be a pretty big factor.
