no, he’s surprisingly robust in health. just angry with the tattoo he got after going on a bender with abyssia

Hugin
I would favor the quickhost, but I don’t want anyone to feel rushed.

Munin: quickhost is fine by me! If we had it on, I could be playing my next turn right now. :)

Argh! Seriously! I wasn’t expecting this, but its actually making me a little crazy knowing that the turn is out there just waiting!

happy with quickhost for the hug-in

I am not opposed to quick host. If I get crunched for time I will post here.

By popular demand then, quickhosting is back on for the Hugin and Munin games.

Through 10 turns, Munin is still pretty close, though some nations are pulling ahead.

Bogarus is, sofar, the clear favorite - leading in just about every category. Mictlan and Jomon are still strong competitors, while the two giants had an unfortunate communication incident resulting in the elimination of one of their armies…tsk tsk. The next five turns should be interesting as space becomes limited and nations begin to bump into one another…

It was me (Midgard) who ran into some giants. I don’t have giants. It was a nasty fight between sacred giants and skinshifters, with the shifters showing why they’re all-stars.

It was regrettable and diplomatic measures are under way to soothe the families involved!

I swear I’m getting my turn in tonight --forgot to submit when I was home for lunch.

You should be good. You’ve got 6 hours or so.

I like the cut of your jibe. Are you available to run a PR campaign?

Key focus and priorities: highlighting my opponent(s) weak points and complete lack of culture, chances to win or qualities. Negative ads strongly encouraged. Vague acquaintance with truth a plus but not essential as long as statements are believable. Bonus payments available depending on results.

As the giants were heavily outnumbered, us Utgarians think of it as a moral victory!

I’m really having a hard time deciding which is more amusing:

The forest of gay unicorns, or that it’s right beside The forest of homophobic faeries…

I could use some advice for a different game I’m playing, if somebody is willing to help out.

I’m playing as EA T’ien Ch’i (CBM 1.92), and I’ve been having a lot of trouble with Yomi’s kitted out Dai-Onis. I’ve tried using magic, mainly spamming soul slay, but their high MR is a problem. I’ve been contemplating summoning some kind of thug or SC chassis, and kitting it out, but I’m not sure what to summon, or what to equip it with.

If anyone has any suggestions for chassis, equipment, and/or spells that might be effective, I’d very much appreciate it. My magic is very diverse, so I should have access to most things, except blood.

Elemental spamming is probably your best bet. Frozen Hearts (water-1!!) in particular is really, really good at killing things without frost protection or sufficient HP/regen. I tend to go to elemental spamming before considering Soul Slay (depending on what magic I have at hand) for this reason.

Alternatively, a vine bow in the hands of an accurate archer can immobilize thugs/SCs, and lettings your heavy hitting infantry try to finish the job (barbarians work pretty well for this purpose).

There are caveats to both, but eventually your opponents runs out of ways to make their high priced unit immune to everything, and your cheap cost counters start taking back territory.

Thanks for the tips, they sound good, and I’m looking forward to trying them out. :)

So far, Abysia’s cries for help have gone unheeded! Soon, the hordes of Ulm will meekly follow and hide behind their killer PoD straight into my capital.

Spring Lion:

It’s become clear that Jomon doesn’t really have a chance against Gath- he’s got the artifacts and blood magic to scour the map… unless we (try to) stop him with the Everyone vs Gath Alliance. I don’t think we can wait any longer.

I’m compelled to give notice of the cancellation of my NAP with Gath as of this turn (59), and I’d like for Tien Chi and Patala to join me- it’s going to take everyone to give Gath a run for his money. Are you in, or with Gath?

If you hadn’t killed me, I’d totally be with you!

Gee. ya’ think? Let’s see, who has been saying that for …oh…20 turns now. Wish y’all had believed me the first time.

I’m still going to defend my territory from foreign excursions as best as I can.

Evil Steve seems to be more than content to be the Gath’s loyal vassal and Pyrhic doesn’t have much of a border with the giants. I believe the rest of us will be watching the Gath/Arco combat.

Good Luck.
