I’m thinking of doing an AAR of that one battle. It was awesome.

I wonder why QT3 doesn’t send an e-mail when I get a PM. When the fate of the world is held in the balance, it would be nice to get an e-mail.

If you guys are using the new CBM, how are you getting a blood economy going?

I tried to get one going with my Lanka trial and with my 1 Blood mages I tried maybe 8 turns in a row without any blood slaves being found. I know you can’t get the rods as easy and I was only using 1 Blood mages, but I seem to recall having better luck the last time I tried it. I also targeted a 5500 or so pop province and I seem to recall going after the 5000 to 9999 pop provinces was best (less income hit vs avoiding the reduced chance at < 5000). Is there something else I am missing? Perhaps I need to use 2 Blood mages now.

I’m mostly using B2 mages to blood hunt. They seem to be getting slaves every 2/3 turns so far. My B3 mages have yet to miss on blood hunting. And for what I’m doing right now (turn 13, small map, Abysia), I have plenty of slaves.

Cool, thanks for the response. I will look into trying some B2 and B3 mages. Hmm, I wonder how easy it would be to outfit my B1 mages with +1 Blood magic items. I seem to recall them being fairly easy to acquire although I will most likely need some slaves to kick-start it.
