Pyrhic! You may not know it, but watching your siege monkeys has become a favorite pastime among the residents of Latien. Don’t go away!

Alright, since I brought it up, I guess I’ll have to clarify. I was boxed in pretty early in the game, and was looking for someone to attack, so I informed Sharaleo that our NAP was over. It seemed like a good idea, since him and Dave were attacking Pyrhic at the time. Unfortunately my nerve broke as soon as Sharaleo mentioned that Dave would support him against me, and to my shame I pretended that I’d intended to attack farfrael, which I then did. Of course, a few turns later Sharaleo and Pyrhic made peace and proceeded to attack me. Dave then joined in. It was very shameful and stupid, and NOW I don’t ever want to talk about it again. :)

Thanks, I enjoyed those battles, too. Those air/astral mages that Bogarus has are awesome. I only wish I’d had time to recruit more. :)

oh man, and I was not even your #1 target.
“not threatening enough to be #1 target”.

However, I did tell you this was a bad idea :)

I’m not talking about it! :D

C’mon Gath!!! You can do it!

I’m anxiously awaiting the results of this next turn.

Heh, it’s funny that this is waiting for me here. I was just coming over to post that I have been distracted a bit the past week and a half and haven’t been able to get my turns in as quickly as I would like. I was on vacation last week and started a home improvement project that ended up being quite a bit more involved than I anticipated.

Now back at work I am trying to catch up both here and at home, but it should get better later this week I hope.

I am also past my test game progress so am taking a bit longer to figure out research plans and how to use my armies. I have a better idea now, though, or so I hope :).

…is there another kind?

I hope you have enough grills for all the wings we’ll be sending your way, dfs.

yeah. That’s a big army.

This is the first time I can remember that I’ve needed those cauldrons of broth.

Scribble has fully kitted harbingers. Hope Atlantis, Caelum, and the rest have plans for dealing with that too. Agartha’s days are numbered…gl, and congrats scribble on winning another game where everyone ignored you!

Someone is going to call PETA on you! One battle I witnessed I saw some poor starving birdies!

Yeah, in hindsight there was more I could have done. My early attempt to attack was a bit unprepared and it took me too long to get much else ready soon after. I did learn a lot for next time, though.

Right now I am fighting a bit for my life :).

I don’t think they ignored him.

I think Caelum was faced with joining a unified alliance to take Scribble out where the birds wouldn’t gain that much territory or joining him in foiling that alliance and gaining a good bit of ground. Caelum decided to take the second route and effectively took Mictlan out of the alliance. Once Caelum and Mictlan were out, Atlantis made a couple of half hearted efforts and decided that picking up scraps was better than an all out war. I suspect in both instances Scribble executed some fine diplomacy.

Both Caelum and Atlantis have tremendous mobility, so I believe they have the ability to raid Marignon to death. I don’t know that they have the ability to stand up to either a well formed army or the thugs that Scribble will throw out there, but they may not need to do that. Mind Hunt has to be in the back of their minds all the time.

Heh, no kidding. Along with Marignon and their sailing, this probably wasn’t an optimal setup for a foray into Dominions MP.

More like a decent defense. It became quite disadvantageous for me to keep camping on Marignon’s doorstep without enough troops to make a dent in his castle walls while Caelum was stuffing its face on microwaved Jag haunches.

Gath OTOH had some UW provinces that were comparatively easy to snatch.

Atlantis has just passed a new law against consorting with the Inquisition. Offenders will be burned at the stake.

I’m just sayin…that might not be the best approach. You are the most mobile nation in the game and can pretty much take any path you want to strike anywhere you want.

I would like to request a 24 hr extension. I should be able to complete my turn tonight, but I may end up being an hour or so late and possibly will have to finish in the morning.

Thanks!

Is that any different than - agh, the name eludes me - the one where i was tir, you gath, and scribble was tc? I dont think anyone consciously set out to ‘ignore scribble’, but in effect thats what happened as we all found better things to do.

In this game, no ones campaigns have brought them closer to Marignon, in fact, it’s quite the opposite. Caelum is even further behind and Atlantis’ only quantifiable edge is in gems. Agartha has been fighting Marginon to a standstill this whole time, occupying up to 2/3 of Marignon’s army. But now, we have no answer to Harbingers. In a few turns, Agartha will fall and Marignon will be able to turn its full force outward. However, for the next few turns, Marignon is vulnerable with the bulk of its armies deployed against Agartha. I’m hoping people see the opportunity this provides. If they think the prospect of facing a distracted Marignon is hard, how will they ever face it full on?

Game hosts in less than 7 hours, and we’re still missing Midgard and Mictlan.
