Dave…it might be better stick to calculus and leave the poetry alone.

That is correct, my forces do not have possession of the capital. Given the grim tide washing ashore, i don’t expect they will either.
Very well fought campaign Maer - mistakes on both our parts to be sure, but my difficulties against you (even in your weakened state) tell me that it was a good thing I chose to side against you.

I think Machaka got preached out, but the castle still has to be stormed…
Poor Maerlande! He just wanted to watch the fights at his castle. :(

Well that was sort of a mixed bag… lost a couple thugs due to horrible scripting and a couple due to bad luck (and a couple due to giant armies pounding them into paste).
Overall the raiding was successful I suppose… I even got a pretender in the process…
Holy fucking shit! That was MY pretender!

Not gonna lie… I mostly made the preceding post to see if you had noticed and/or would comment… LOL…
Bloody hell Calahan! You following me?
First point. Slave doesn’t need to be cast till round 2. To be honest, I didn’t realize that at all. Makes sense.
Second: Yes cast spells is just there. I usually go Slave, body eth, whatever fits. But I find that pure S magi do just fine on cast spells. They cast the best they have for range. Unlike other path magi that cast crap. Still I use a lot of mix ups. Might toss in some swarm if S N magi or an elemental or two for more meat. Various things until the full PotS and LotNS get rolling. And or the other elemental buffs, epower, phoenix power. I generally do NOT place magi in the same square but I will place troops with them.
Great game guys :) I had a lot of fun. Would have been MORE Fun to have my build work. Next time!

I think you just went too aggressive. F9N9 out of the gate just screams “Look at Me!”. Getting shoe-horned in a peninsula quickly between 4 enemies doesn’t help, and to think that between the 4 of us, we took 45 turns to take you down. Should van win, he owes not some little credit to you…

You turned Machaka into a kind of LA Ermor. That’s no small achievement.
As for Van winning, I agree that he laid the groundwork by double-teaming me with Pythium in the shadow of the huge dogpile (if I may) over Machaka.
But then Austen did a VERY crafty diplo move by outsourcing the fruitless siege of my maenad factory to Steve, thereby ensuring that neither Pythium nor Pan were going anywhere for a very decent amount of time. Precisely the two nations who could’ve opposed him. Gotta respect that.

I can be ready for Kill Perkins by Monday. How’re we looking for a game start?

I believe that both the Van and Bandor still hold only two capitols.
Nobody hold the Machaka fortress, although a large bandar army defeated an army of fog warriored dust warriors there this last turn.
I expect Bandor to walk into the fortress this turn, leaving two turn someone to take Machaka, Eriu or fabled Bandor itself.
Otherwise the poo flinging monkies will have won.

I’m still deciding between a minor bless attribute or a couple of scales, but frankly I’m not sure if there is a “best” decision in this case. I’ll be ready to go when the group is.
My Pretender is dead and the entire world is overrun by sparkle ponies. My troops are mere automatons who serve no one. Rumors of cannibalistic poo ceremonies.
