Love the image Austen.

I can’t see the whole map anymore, but I have Bandar in posseision of Bandor, Eriu and Machacka. They are under seige in both Bandor and Eriu to Vanheim.

Likewise I have Vanhiem in possession of Vanheim and Shinumaya. They are under seige in Shinymaya to Caelum.

Caleum owns it’s own captiol.

I cannot see Pangea or Pythia.

If DP manages to hold all three capitols for the next two turns, he will be our winner.

Frankly, …I don’t know my turn sequence well enough. I suppose if Austen has a bunch of Gate Cleavers already forged he could Cloud Trapeze them onto one of the sieged capitols. …I don’t know my turn sequence well enough to know if that could work.

There’s probably an high level earth spell … Crumble…that would tear down walls. Fifth level earth out of Van? …Things look pretty grim to me. Hope your sleeve hides a lot.

Pangaea remains free.

Vanheim unfortunately declined my offer to help out on Eriu, so I guess it comes down to whether he can crack either of Bandar’s forts on his own.

I’m a bit nonplussed that my Machaka army got hit by nothing, not even a solitary Fires From Afar or Vengeance of the Dead, let alone three consecutive Murdering Winters followed by a 300-strong Caelum army of Fog Warriors. I think I underestimated how tough the war between Caelum and Machaka was!

I don’t see how anyone can dig me out of the three capitals I occupy, as none of the walls are down. I think dfs is right, that Crumble is the only possible chance Austen has. Excitements!

By all metrics (aside from the victory conditions), including “how many monkey parents are consuming their own children in order to survive another day”, Austen as Vanheim has the game in hand, and would ordinarily be considered the victor. If I don’t get Crumbled out of a victory, I am happy to take a knee and doff my hat to him.

Actually, I should do the same to literally everyone, because there’s no way I could have taken three capitals except that everyone, no matter how beaten down their nations were, kept fighting to the end. I admire that. Emblematic of this was Maerlande’s last attack, wherein he spread five scouts into some kind of erstwhile formation and attacked one of my provinces. Those brave souls!

But the same goes for dfs, whose nation was hammered right off the bat, but who never stopped jockeying and raiding, and who was a tremendously good sport about my attack at the end of the game, and Nate and tenuki, who bore the lion’s share of the brunt of Austen and Evil Steve’s attacks, yet fought as best they could with no support from the rest of us. If any of these guys hadn’t played as well as they could under the circumstances, there’s no way I’d be occupying even one other capital than my own.

My hat is doffed, gentlemen, no matter what happens in the next two turns.

It’s actually pretty easy to role play Eriu as a “lost nation.” Once the notion of victory was gone, I was able to use my raiders to make mayhem and mischief.

Caelum hit Vanheim’s point defense in Shin. given his mobility it seems an odd choice, but the last couple of turns have moved pretty quick and I suppose some action is better than none.

Actually…Kodus to you for seeing the opportunity.

The second I went all-in against Vanheim (oh…yeah…out front leading a parade by myself again…I am just NEVER going to learn.) you saw your opportunity and drove the knife in deep, taking my capitol and looking for a second to scrounge.

When I searched my lands and found practically no gem sites, and with Bandar Log being pretty dependent on gems for summoning, I gave up any hope of being a powerhouse, and instead decided I would try to exploit the war between you and Maerlande. I figured that both of your capitals would remain somewhat weak, and I hoped that later in the game, I’d be able to take both at once. I couldn’t quite pull off “both at once”, but it was close to it.

I gave you your capital back because I wanted Austen and Evil Steve to continue getting further from my capital in their war against Nate and tenuki. That went well, leaving only Caelum (pyrhic) as the wild card who could stop me. Right up until this last turn, I expected that to happen.

Seeing two enormous armies surrounding Machaka, I felt removing and consolidating what remained of the Caelite army the best chance I had to keep it intact and a viable force. Seeing the size and composition of the van army, i figured it the likely winner, and so moved to prevent a van win by hitting its softer underside. I can only guess that the confusion about the win conditions was behind the van abandonment of Machaka…

Ya… I was just bluffing at Machaka… my plan was to move out after Eriu and the BL cap as well as possibly threatening others rather than engaging in an enormous all-or-nothing type fight. I didn’t see the need to risk it when I could just put him under siege elsewhere… since I thought that mattered :P

Today it was pointed out to me that I delayed the game. I had missed out on the deadline changes.

My apologies, especially to those of you whom I blithely kept sending diplo.

Otherwise, all my hats are and remain doffed to everybody in this exceedingly exciting game.

kill scribble…

I sent my pretender in…hopefully took. I’m off on a biz trip and will be out till friday night…would be superexcited if game kicked off this weeknd.

Kill Scribble

Missing pretenders from Austen and sharaleo.

I’ll have mine in today.

This is just to confirm that I’ve received a pretender file from you for Abysia in the game KillScribble, and everything seems to be fine with it.

Crooked Trunk

Is it the final turn?

Looks like Bandar is in the clear at Machaka and in his own capitol. Vanheim has him under seige at Eriu. Pangea has a…an enormous army parked next door as well. The world seems to hinge there.

If Vanheim is successful in prolonging the game, HE will then have three capitols. He is already under seige at Shin and that Pan army is going to fall on Eriu if needed.

I think it’s done…so…

47 turns 7 players 11 extensions and 4 stales. Just under three months. Well done y’all. That’s pretty much exactly the experience I was hoping to provide!

Well, other than the getting thrashed by spiders and losing pretty much every important battle I was in…Or my sacred capitol being turned into grand central station…Oh, and the getting stabbed in the back by poo flinging monkies…I didn’t want that part either.

If I couldn’t win, at least the other sparkle pony nation …oh…yeah…nevermind.

Maybe somebody else should host the next one.

There’s at least one more…

Well Done. I’m impressed.

w/out serious reinforcements, I don’t think Bandar can stand against what you have…Now…can you stand against Tenuki and Pyrhic?

Oh. yes and just ignore the bottom half of post 3618. It never happened.

ZOMFG~!

Inside straight draw on the river. :)

I just love this game.

I really want to read his aar.

Game on!

Can’t wait to find out how Austen managed to do the unmathematical, and find a way to storm the Eriu castle this turn. Everyone else better take care with their next turn, because Eriu is being defended by the blind and the lame!
