In case anyone is interested in expediting the attempt to get Dominions 3 to Steam Greenlight, gohere, because Johan Karlsson asked if anyone is good at making the sort of gameplay videos of Dominions 3 they would need for that.

Given how Dom3 is not a very casual TBS, that’s actually a pretty tall order.

Hmm, actually I think you could make a pretty sweet gameplay video by cutting together strategic play/movement with some clips from some battles while having someone narrate game features along with some of the really cool music in the background that comes with the game. Unfortunately, I don’t have the skills or time to pull that off, but I think the content could fit well for those skilled at doing these sorts of things.

If someone was willing, I am sure many of us could submit turn files that we have saved over the years that someone could use to grab good content from.

Is this abug? Scribbl’s prophet plato has 510 Hit points in a territory of mine where I have 8 candles. He should be down 80% right?

Not exactly I don’t think. Prophets and pretenders don’t lose hit points due to lowered dominion before the end of the turn (after combat). They don’t lose it all at once either, but gradually over a few turns.

Further complicating things is the fact that my prophet is a construct, with the never heals tag. I think this may result in his hp total not being subject to reduction by dominion in the same way as a normal prophet. For what it’s worth he still has 510 hit points when I look at him in the new turn now.

He’s a pretty cool unit now by the way. Base hit points is 85 but increase that by 20% for every candle in the province he is in, and increase that again by 10% for every candle due to MA Agartha’s construct-friendly dominion. Gives him 6x normal hp. Now I need to get Gift of Health going to put his hp total North of 1000, and luck out with heroic obesity or something on top of that. :)

Morberis: I have a suggestion if you’re looking to get into Dom3 multiplayer. There are many different board communities now that organise the odd Dom3 game, which can make it hard to get new games going since players are spread out. Desura took over distribution of Dom3 and has a forum for the game that’s just opened. Calahan is hosting two new player games there now that are open for signup.
