Dave Perkins cannot die! In spite of an unscripted blade wind even.

He’s still at 510 hit points. That’s a major twist where you a construct prophet only goes up but not down. I didn’t think your god/prophet could play in my 8+ candle dominion like this.
Was a bit of a surprise to me as well.
I think what is happening is that there is a routine somewhere that heals damage to units and recalculates their hit points (if they are prophets or pretenders for instance) - running once every turn. For units with the “never heals” tag this routine is probably skipped entirely, unless they are at a laboratory. So my construct prophet will keep his hit points unless he is unfortunate enough to run into a province with a lab. :)
Another quirk in the game, out of many!
By the way, you could always reduce its hit points in the old fashioned way - stabbing it repeatedly with a pointy stick.

Yes, b/c clearly fighting a 510 HP monster is a winning strategy for me.

Hit it with Gifts From Heaven maybe?

The only thing I really have is life for life b/c I’m a blood nation. Or simply hit iwth claws. Any of those works.
Arga has zippo astral.
I’m still in favor of the repeated bludgeoning plan.
Life for a life is a no-go because it can’t hit lifeless.
Is your prophet named after me? :)

Yes, even when you’re not playing, you’re wreaking havoc.
Remember when you were going to play this game, then ended up pulling out so Scribble had to change the name of the game and take over your spot. I think it was something to do with that.

Actually, not his prophet, but his pretender.

As Arga Dis, I’d probably be looking for a Skelly Spam/Incinerate combo to take Dave Perkins down (assuming that battle dressing). Your F2 mages should reliably cast Incinerate (with Phoenix Power to get to F3 of course) providing you keep enough chaff around Dave to make friendly fire an issue (thereby forcing the casting AI to limit itself to either buffs or 100% precision spells). And if you haven’t got enough D2/3’s to keep a good flow of undead going, then just forge a shit load of Skull Talismans and pass them out to Scouts.
Also make sure to throw a Spirit Curse in there as well to wrack up those afflictions forever. As even though Dave will heal them due to his immortality, some of the knocks that Dave could pick up during battle might be enough to kill him there and then (if he’s out of dom). Plus some afflictions can take a long time to heal, which could easily take him out of action for a while.
You can’t kill Dave Perkins with logic and planning. You have to use heart.

Who’s heart though? Do you mean your heart? So the only way to kill you is extract your heart, and then beat you over the head with it. Hhhhmmmm, that makes things tricky I must say. I can see why wahoo is having such a problem now.

So what else do you need from us to get that RAND game going, pyrhic?

Nothing, looks like we got 6 people. Let me find a map.
If anyone else wants in, or wishes to change their selection for the pool, just post.
Details on the game are here: http://www.quartertothree.com/game-talk/showpost.php?p=3297981&postcount=3921

Assuming we remain at 6 ppl, the maps I’m thinking of for Middletown:
Bat Country: It’s small, 65 land, 8 water, wraparound
Rampaging Roaches: 78 land, 10 water, wraparound
Streamlands: 93 land, 10 water, wraparound
I personally think streamlands would be best, but its your game - Please let me know your preferences (or if you have an alternative post that too)
Give us a day or two to decide on the map, and get any stragglers, a day for ppl to change their mind on the nation they pool, and I’ll hand out nation assignments on tues/wed…
