We all have to bring in our own. Desura doesnt seem to do outside PR releases.
We are actually luckier than most because Tom brings in so many. :)

But for years we have been promised a Steaming Horde if we can just get it on Steam. The request has been made. I check Steam every 10 minutes 24/7 to see if Dom3 has shown up yet.

What are you talking about?!?! You rarely make any sense, but even by your own high standards this is more gibberish than usual.

Or are you just suffering from a bad pining day, and miss the good old days of Dominions being on Shrapnel? Who of course always tirelessly promoted the game day and night using their well oiled advertising machine, and that’s without even mentioning their unique and universally popular approach to handling PR with the community.

PR in this case refers to press releases (which is purposely not advertising)
Steam is a digital download service which is supposed to bypass the need for PRs

Kill Scribble update.
I expect Arga Dis to go belly up this turn. My walls are breached.

I did put a beating on Scribbles prophet though. He’s cursed and killed 2 more of thugs. They did wack him for 200+ damage. One of the keys to victory is the bug that allowed Scribble’s prophet to crush my lands at 510HP for our fight despite my having 8+ candles (Scribble did his HP reset to the candle or is back to 510?). Not good times for me. Anyway, besides being cursed, he’s now eyeless having lost 2 eyes, an arm and a chest wound. So unless Scribble can cure afflictions, the prophet is pretty much out of the running.

I wouldn’t exactly call that prophet key to my victory, wahoo. He raided two empty provinces before this round where he effectively was taken out even though he won it. It’s not obviously a bug either - any player could experience the same thing by making a prophet out of a golem or a mechanical giant.

His hp did adjust this round, but that’s because he hit a province with a lab in it, which forces hp recalc for units that only heal in labs.

Yeah that post could have been clearer for new people.

As far as Shrapnel it probably doesnt help that they have a PR guy who does their PR’s.
(the title listed is Press Relations of the person doing Press Releases)

I dont think they have had a Public Relations person in quite awhile. Mindi replaced me at Community Relations and she hasnt been around for a long time. (Richard replaced me as Tech Advisor and he is gone now also)

Dominions 3 can now be bought from www.GamersGate.com also.
(yes, its the same price). However that does make TWO places that friends can download the new updated DEMO for Dominions 3. And hopefully those places will come out at the top of any online search.

It was important. It’s hard to defend when you have that guy around, b/c it meant that my pretty darn good thugs would have to travel en masse for defense/offense. I mentioned it a bug b/c I don’t think the designers meant to have that prophet not be adjusted downard in enemy dominion. So yeah, any player could do the same but it’s probably not what was intended. B/c you can get some truly obscene prophets by comboing lifeless with gift of health and high dominion.

There’s no diplo - no game communications, no out of game communications.

Other key elements to a RAND game:
-Name your pretender after your nation, “Agartha” for instance. Otherwise it’s possible to guess your identity.
-Same goes with renaming for units. Easiest would be to just turn it off, or we could allow for informational renaming such as “s2w2”. I’d vote for no renaming.
