People are idiots. I vote yes to greenlight games, but I don’t vote no. I don’t begrudge some game getting distribution on the platform just because I don’t like the look of it on a marketing page.

Well, that was certainly an epic battle. That should help out with the upkeep problems.
Pythia brings 50 commanders and 284 troops and loses 13/162.
Man brings 36 commanders and 459 troops and loses 17/395.
That totally could have went either way I believe.

What, an epic battle that I missed? That is unpossible! I need to have the master of spies mistressed, and the mistress of spies mastered!
The only thing of interest I can say from my part of the world is that apparently the Bane of Man has met his(?) untimely demise. The consequences of this, ergo, the birthing of ‘The other bane of man’, “Man Bane 2”, “Man Ban” and “BAMMAN!” was very much unforeseen, and I apologize to the greater world…

Kelan laid the smack down on Wahoo. Man sure is crappy once you reach the late game.
Both sides had fog warriors up and Pythia put wrathful skies in. I believe both sides had access to thunderward, but there were a ton of lightning strikes. It’s always fun to see armies collide, but the commander death is what really hurts. I never did see what happened to big bird, not that it matters much.
If anybody is more dangerous than the birds of Caelum…It’s got to be pythia.

That was such a long battle that even with over 20 communion slaves, I popped all 10+ of my communicants I believe after many many turns. They were in surprisingly good shape after all the battlefield spells and Fog Warriors, but all the Masters spamming stuff wore them out after that many turns. Oh well, they served their purpose. I believe I was pretty close to auto-routing before I turned the tide at the end. I think a Wrathful Skies round got the big bird. I once figured it may have fled/flew off the battlefield, but I believe it was still fatigued out. I only watched the battle once so far, so probably missed a lot.
Oh and wait! I am not dangerous! Remember I was the one that you were going to let pick their nation. I am not a threat!.. obligatory “I am weak” speech :)
Still, while I was able to muster a decent battle there, I burned up a lot of gems and my gem income isn’t so great so I am not sure I can sustain for long. I am glad I was able to save my Theurgs in that fort for now, though.

I’ve been enjoying playing LA which I had not really done before until recently. I thought I would see if there was interest in a new LA game. CBM, diplo, straight forward type stuff. I was hoping for 6-8 players?
I sort of prefer playing here to elsewhere. If you’re interested, give a reply.

When should the pause start. How long do you need it for.
I’m curious exactly when I lied about making peace with Eriu? I was pretty direct with several players that without somebody swooping into Eriu’s backyard I was not going to be able to withstand his raiding. The only player to keep the faith with me was Ashdod who spent most of the war getting pummeled in the face trying to survive w/out really being able to manage an offensive. I could have pushed the war for a couple more turns, but even if I had taken Eriu’s capitol that would just have made me a target for the turtles to nip at and if I didn’t take his capitol then I was pretty much done. There’s a LOT to criticize about the way I’ve played this game and I’m sure I’ve lied about things, but not about that one.
On the other hand, Yes, Eriu is a backstabbing weasel. No offense intended to either Austen or Nate. It’s how the nation is designed. Y’all should have put him down while I was holding his throat.
I certainly understand being frustrated when things don’t tilt your way in a game like this. You are in a tough spot. The world has passed by for both Agartha and Man. I don’t know if Ashdod has the resources to win. Who knows WHAT Caelum is doing. Both Pythia and Eriu look pretty scary, but I think it will be very difficult for either of them to win without going to war with each other.
Middletown: T’ien Ch’i bought the big one. Who played them?
