One reason to play aggressively in the early game is so you can separate out your losing games quickly and not care about them. When I recognize that I’m losing, I tend to have more fun and learn more about the game. When I think…dang…I might pull this off…that’s much less fun and I tend to worry instead of learn.
Dave may have handsome, but you’ve got witty all over him. DP just gets extra credit for being witty because we all expect math professors to stay in their musty little wing of the building and instead Dave sees sunlight every now and then.
forum woofing over a game that nobody is playing…That’s not right.
One of my biggest laughs ever came while playing a Myth match, wherein someone on my team satchel bombed a mass of enemy archers, sending body parts flying everywhere, and then he said, “it’s all over but the gg’ing”
Hi guys, just starting to play this game and I’m already bogged down in micro management. Is there any way to select a waypoint for my commanders for a longer path, so I don’t need to move them every turn? Any other suggestions to lower micro, as I don’t think I can play larger maps with dozens of commanders like that?

No, there are no waypoints. You can group commanders together though, so that you move large numbers of them at a time (shift-click and ctrl-click are your friends).
Suggestion for decreased micro and a better user interface: Buy Dominions 4.
This is not a facetious suggestion, because the primary game is the same, some mechanics have just changed somewhat, there are more nations, spells, items and other things and there are some HUGE micromanagement reduction features that were on the Dom3 improvement wishlist for years. Not blatantly obvious things that you would think of from the get-go, but which you would give an arm and a leg for later when you get into the serious detail. Combat mage gem management and wastage control, blood slave micromanagement control. Would you like to transfer 30 slaves from several couriers each, say from five, meaning 5x30 = 150 single clicks (and the interface clicks to get to the transfer screens) or would you rather use two keyboard shortcuts to do the same thing?
That sort of thing. And the graphics are better too, because almost all stock sprites were redone.
You’ll also have a lot easier time to find multiplayer opponents AND you won’t have to take as much time to unlearn Dom3 habits that are no longer viable in Dom4.
Thanks. Are there waypoints in dom4?
Unfortunately, there are no waypoints in Dom4, but Edirr is right that there are many other improvements.
