How are people doing with their pretenders? So far only 2 of 11 players have submitted.

I have a couple of pretenders ready, but I haven’t had time to test them properly yet. I’m planning on doing that saturday evening (gmt +1), and I’ll upload it right after that. I hope that’s ok.

Ummm. If y’all don’t believe me about the kind of power that Gath is putting out, check out his hit squads in the Yellow Mountains and the one in Latien. Serious Gems on those guys.

I don’t even want to think about the cost in gold of all the Ryujin I lost last turn.

On the other hand. TC got punished for his treachery. I now have his prophet as one of my units. Kind of embarrassing to have one of my units spreading my enemies dominion. Not sure what I can do about it. Maybe I’ll ship him up towards Gath and let him take a stab or two at an ice devil. It’s a nice bless.

…as non-leaders I don’t think you would want them. Upkeep would kill you and you lose the ability to cast they become pretty pedestrian units. Do units that change side not have upkeep?

It’s been my second go round with la Joman and getting underwater really changes the nation. The Ryujin make great battle mages, but as raiders they’ve just been slaughtered too often. I’ve done a better job with this nations tools this go round, but not good enough.

I’m not sure if waiting Gath out would have been a better strategy, but trying to coalition him to death sure didn’t work.

As for the Ryujin, Gift of Reason is pretty cheap (if you are playing a current cbm). That will give them their paths back.

So you get to have two prophets?! I’d like to have two prophets! Does the guy with zero prophets get to appoint a new one after six months?

It’s vanilla. But I wouldn’t mind paying 20 N plus the Astral for some teleports if what I get is a W4E2 or W3F2 mage who can hold a frickin’ hammer, dammit.

One of the main differences is in forging. Luckily, CBM 1.92 ships with a nice PDF, which explains the changes to forging. There are other changes, too, of course, but I have no idea what they are. :)

Where’d you find that pdf, Nikolaj? Got a link to it? I did not get it when I downloaded the mod.
