I’m surprised I got it right. A good movie but I agree the ending wasn’t very satisfying.

Here’s a new movie:

Glorious, wacked-out Technicolor. The movie is the classic noir Niagara.

The actress is pretty unmistakable, which limits what it could be massively.

@charmtrap is of course absolutely right. This is Marilyn Monroe as femme fatale Rose Loomis in Niagara.

Niagara’s not necessarily a great movie, but it’s got some great scenes.

New 20

I thought it was pretty great when I watched it recently on the Criterion Channel. Probably didn’t hurt that it was my first Marilyn.

The new screen looks like it’s from Halloween: Boyz Edition.

Before we get any more guesses, let me just have a do-over real quick. I neglected to even look at the list, and this one has been done. It’s David Robert Mitchell’s first feature, The Myth of the American Sleepover.

I’ll get another one going real quick.

You haven’t seen Some Like It Hot?

I prefer it cool.

Sorry bout that! I can only plead exhaustion from staying up way past my bedtime last night.

New new 20

It’s decent. It’s a fairly lightweight sub-Hitchcockian thriller, but there are some great sequences (the bell tower) and some gorgeous staging.

The newlywed husband was doing a great William H. Macy impression.

No guesses! Next

Pig?5

Oops, sorry. Somehow I didn’t get the notification. Yes it is Pig…Nicholas Cage is a reclusive truffle hunter on a tour through the trendy underground Portland haute cuisine scene (?) to get his favorite pig back.

Not at all what I thought it was going to be, and Cage is unexpectedly just great.

All yours, @anonymgeist!

Aww man. My wife watched this a bit ago and I bowed out to play a game. Did this end up being any good?

Pig? Yeah, it’s excellent.

I certainly don’t share the Nick Cage love that so many have, I find him hackish and obvious in most things. Pig, though, was excellent and he’s the main reason.

Honestly that’s why I skipped it. He’s hit or miss for me as well and when she told me the short description line and then, “Nick Cage,” I was out. Lol. I have no issues finding this again and watching it.

The new 20:20!
