Oooh! Solid guess! Wrong, but solid.

If she’s pulling a gun out of her purse to shoot Chuck Norris, she’s gonna be mighty surprised when ol’ Chuck roundhouse kicks the gun outta her hand!

Sounds like the big 40:40 reveal won’t be presenting a whole lot of new information:

Lone Wolf McQuade?

The Octagon?

Heh, it counts if I just start naming Norris movies, provided I don’t look them up, right?

Yup, that’s the one!

I’ll edit in the remaining frames tonight.

So, story time. At my last duty station in the Navy I was stationed in Italy. A friend and I rented a flat but needed a third roommate to handle the cost. Naturally we picked some guy we barely knew from work. Let’s call him George.

George was a Navy cameraman who washed out as a SEAL. From what I gathered, George had a very rough childhood with an abusive father. George self medicated with alcohol daily to the tune of at least a 12-pack of beer. None of this we knew before inviting him to be a roommate, except that George had a TV and VHS player and promised to bring those into the new flat once we moved in. We thought that was fantastic and we’d be watching all kinds of cool stuff.

George’s daily routine after work involved picking up a 12-pack, putting it in the freezer for exactly 28 minutes, plopping down at HIS television and putting in a copy of one of HIS dozen or so different tapes, all of which were Chuck Norris movies. George would then either pass out, switch to one of his five music CDs, or annoy the crap out of the two of us wanting to wrestle or beat our ass to prove bravado. This repeated until George was eventually busted for using and selling hash he picked up during port calls, whereby he got sent back home with a short stint in a federal prison before becoming a civilian again. For me this simply means I noticed and saw Chuck’s silhouette and just had to narrow down which blond woman that was in his movies. Unfortunately, he has one in a lot of them, surrounded by lots and lots of shooting and fighting.

I’ve seen George’s collection of Chuck Norris movies on VHS countless times. I don’t hate Chuck Norris, I’m an 80s kid afterall, but certainly seeing these screenshots brings back thoughts of George. The dude idolized this man and would frequently show us his attempts at, “Chuck Norris moves,” which apparently included falling and breaking furniture. Here’s hoping George found peace in his life somewhere after the Navy.

But enough about George and Chuck, let’s move on to another 20:20, right?

In what movie will you see this frame at the 20:20 mark?

Life Alert ®?

I love this answer, but I believe the correct answer is “Can You Hear Me Now?”

No for both assuming those were legit versus funny takes. It also is not, “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up,” but I like that idea as a movie title. :)

I’m sitting at about 22 hours since the last frame but I have a busy afternoon coming up so this is going up just a hair early.

The 40 frame:

Shake Weight ™ ?

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga?

No correct guesses so far. Not many frames in this one either, I hope I’m not headed for a loss.

Darn. I was feeling pretty good about that guess.

The 60, and final fame arrives. Here’s hoping …

Isn’t that the actress from Umbrella Academy? No idea on the movie.

Taking a loss on this one. The movie was, The Gatlopp: Hell of a Game. My wife and I paid for a cheap weekend streamed movie with this a while back on Amazon and landed on this based on the very quick 80 minute run time (the 80 frame was practically credits.) And at first you look at the mention of it and think, “adult Jumanji as a horror?” been done before, this will suck. It’s certainly indie budget and -could- have sucked but it didn’t. It kind of worked in it’s own way, neither giving fully to the camp it could have been, nor taking itself so overly serious that it hung itself at the start. And I give that fully to the cast, who seemed to be able to put so much into so little time on screen. It made for kind of a fun, campy suspense and worked for what it was, a quick fill of a movie. Not a rock star movie, but not so far into the “B” movie horror that you forget all about it after a beer. Of all places, Polygon has a decent writeup on it.

A new 20 will arrive, shortly.

This one will go VERY quickly. I’ll post within the next 30 minutes.
