Random guess: Soldier of Fortune

To be fair, it’s not much better on my big screen. Also, you got it: F.E.A.R. (N.o. 1.), it is.

I was kind of torn between posting a screenshot that shows off the game’s still often effectively moody lighting or one that shows the fancy slow-mo effects. I went with the latter, since I figured that otherwise you guys would spend years trying to figure out whether a specific blob of darkness is from Splinter Cell or Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.

I played a bit of that recently. Despite not guessing it here, the gunplay, physics and particle effects well and truly hold up a decade later.

I just wish the level design wasn’t so mind-numbingly dull, since the rest of the game was fairly enjoyable.

Someone please jump in here. No games available to screenshot and I don’t have any good ideas anyway.

The stage is yours!

Ask and ye shall receive.

Banner Saga?

Some Simpsons game? :)

Some sort of puzzle game in which you get boots that let you walk on ice/snow… I was going to say Chip’s Challenge, but they’re too hi-res.

No one is right so far, but it’s kind of an obscure (though fairly recent, I think, or it was new to me when someone on this very forum mentioned it). Here is frame two, this should give it away pretty quick to anyone that’s played it, I imagine. I almost may as well have just done the entire frame, honestly, but here we go:

Adventure Capitalist!

Bingo!

sharaleo, you are up!

:O

Never heard of it, and its free on Steam!

Oh, but is it truly free?

Just started playing that… spoiler alert!

No, it also costs you a little piece of your soul.

Here we go!

Star Wars: Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast?

Edit: Edited to correct which Jedi thing.

ONE FINGER DEATH PUNCH!

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
