Yeah, its been a decade since I’ve played it, or there’s about. Still, I wonder what the other half of the screen is hiding. Could it be a gun indicating an FPS game? Serious Sam: SE did have a long castle level I remember.

Though the lack of health and a HUD sort of means my guess is more of a shot in the dark than I would like.

Zork Nemesis?

My choice on the last frame was between Doors and M&M7, but rhamorium guessed 6 and simply got a “no”, rather than a “close”… But you’ve stolen that. STOLEN IT. So I’ll go for Might & Magic 8, as I can’t think of anything else ;)

The funny thing is that the first thing that comes to mind looking at that picture is the throne room from Civilization II, though it’s most certainly not that. :)

Myst? I know I guessed one game from the series already, but it just has that prerendered feel.

Lots of interesting guesses, but all incorrect. Again, I might’ve chosen a rather dickish screen. Here’s the whole thing. If no one gets it, I’ll post a much more obvious one.

Arx Fatalis?

It feels like a 90s FMV point and click adventure game but fuck if I know what it is. The Misadventures of Seymore Butts?

Riven?

Yep, full screen is no better.

You guys are definitely hitting on the right area and era of games. But no cigar yet.

Might as well go for the set, and go for Myst 3: Exile

Also known as I didn’t really PC game in that era, so have no stinking idea

Warcraft 2 intro?

That hand cursor looks familiar but I can’t remember where it’s from.

Laura Bow in: The Ill-advised 3D Sequel?

Journeyman Project? 3? Pretty sure it had a lot more interface on the screen…

OK I think we’re ready for the big reveal.

Goddamn we got stumped!!! That don’t happen often, does it?

Dragon Lore?

Nope. Okay guys. Here, let’s try possibly the most obvious screenshot ever. Surely some one here has played this.

Still got nothin’

EDIT - I did a GIS and I think I see what it is, but nope, never heard of it before (that I recall) and I am certain I never played it. Explains why I didn’t know what it was!
