This would be only the second time I believe.
The Dark Eye!
Arg! I knew I recognized that HAND! I could see it switching to a pointing finger! I just didn’t recognize the scene. What part of the game is that??

Nightgaunt gets it! That is from the basement. The cathedral room thing where you can hear/watch The Masque of Red Death. And also some stuff near the end of the game.
Ah, man, William S. Burroughs reading the Masque of the Red Death. The game was flawed, and not particularly fun to play (these were the multimedia, CD-ROM, Quicktimey days of games), but the art was really unique across the board and it was often a reasonably good homage to Poe. Got me to look up his lesser-known story Berenice years ago. The teeth! Also, if I remember correctly, got me to upgrade my video card to something that could do “millions of colors.”
Okay, here’s a new frame:

Ermm, day of the tentacle?
I’m going to guess… Skull Girls!

Isn’t that a duck’s head?
No correct guesses yet. I’m going to leave it just a bit longer…
Alright, I’ll be pretty shocked if someone doesn’t know it from this shot…

It looks like a graphic adventure game that isn’t quite modern, but I have no idea.

Sam and Max Hit the Road?
Good guesses, everyone! I had to struggle not to give any hints in response! Will this do it?

I knew I knew it!
The Curse of Monkey Island!
Edit; And of course when I get one right, it is right before I leave for prolonged travel. Someone else post the next one! If it turns out I was mistanken, well, this was embarassing. Move along.
Nope, you got it, Jørn! Obviously, all those other Lucasarts guesses were closing in on it.

This is one of my favorite scenes, where Guybrush is trapped inside an anaconda and the ground is literally littered with objects (including the one highlighted in the screenshot) that could be used to get him out, if only he could reach them.
I feel like Curse of Monkey Island gets unfairly maligned just because it wasn’t made by Ron Gilbert. Ron Gilbert’s great, but Curse of Monkey Island really delivered on the potential of the earlier games. It took the illustrated look to a stunningly beautiful level–to the point where I think it might be the best looking game of its generation. Very, very few games from then (1997) hold up so well and it’s because of the hand-drawn look that never ages. The voice acting, which was tremendous, added immensely to the fun and humor. And even MI staples like insult swordfighting were improved; every insult/comeback pair in CMI is a rhyming couplet! Amazing! For me, this is the definition of a classic.
Anyway, sounds like Jørn can’t take his turn, so take it away, Someone Else!
